Mrs. Berniece McLeod, 96, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, March 07, 2023 in Mountain Home. She was born on December 30, 1926, in Bushyhead, Oklahoma to Ralph and Althea (Gloer) Shearer. She was married to Joseph McLeod for 51 years. She was a homemaker, member of the First Baptist Church who loved sewing, cooking, and taking care of others. She used her talents, with other church volunteers, to make items for the local hospitals and nursing homes.
Berniece is survived by 2 sons: James McLeod (Kathy) and John McLeod; 1 daughter: Carol Camper; 5 grandchildren: Joanna (Paul), Kelley (Colleen), Elizabeth (J.P.), Michael, and Jana (Chad); 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 brother: Henry Shearer (Willa). She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and daughter Norma Hutchison.
A visitation will be held between 10-11:00am on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home with funeral services to follow. Interment will be at Baxter Memorial Gardens.
