Deborah Lou Freeman Wallis passed away in Mountain Home, Arkansas on February 27th 2023. She was born on April 8th, 1955 in Yakima, Washington to Jerome and Lea Ellen (Anderson) Freeman.
She married Michael Paul Wallis on March 1st, 1975. She was a loving wife of almost 48 years, mother of two children, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. She retired from Baxter International after 41 years of service.
At an early age she learned to play the accordion and sing. She also loved to sew, embroider, shop and cook. Baking was her favorite and she loved sharing recipes with family and friends. She was passionate about Missions in the church and was a faithful member for 43 years.
She is survived by her husband; a son, Matthew Wallis of Mountain Home Arkansas and a daughter, Marisa Killian (Ryan) of Calico Rock, Arkansas. Three brothers, Delvin Freeman of Round Mountain, Arkansas, Dennis Freeman (Sherri) of Richland, Missouri, Stanley Freeman of Alco, Arkansas; one sister, Sandra LeMarr of Marshall, Arkansas; six grandchildren, MJ Wallis, Warrior Wallis and Willa Wallis of Cave City, Kael Killian, Rhett Killian and Woods Killian of Calico Rock; Aunts, Judy Johnson, Esther Archer of Yakima, Washington and Albadean Chaney of Gentry, Arkansas; several nieces; nephews; great nieces; great nephews and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; maternal grandparents, Luther Bill Anderson (Eulice Albertson Anderson); paternal grandparents, Timothy Freeman (Zoorett Sisk Freeman); a brother, Nathaniel Allen Freeman and nephew, Roger Jerome Freeman.
She was a devout Christian woman who believed in salvation only through her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Funeral services for Deborah will be held at 1st Assembly of God Church in Mountain Home, Arkansas on Saturday, March 4th and will be officiated by Pastor Josh Beers. Visitation will be at 1pm preceding the service at 2 pm. Burial will be at Baxter Memorial Gardens in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Gerald Perry, Ryan Killian, Ethan LeMarr, Jeremy Freeman, Nicky Payne and Phil Hudnall.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Gary Nesbitt and Jeffrey Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Missions Fund of Mountain Home First Assembly.

I have known Debbie all her life and went to school with her and later worked with her she was a great person I think everybody loved Debbie Mike you and the kids are in my prayers I know you have a lot of HAPPY memories of Debbie
We are so very sorry to hear about Debbie. We met her in 1994 when we moved to Mountain Home and her family. She was always always extra nice and loving to us. We never did see each other for the past few yrs but she is one we will always remember and we thought about her a lot. Our hearts goes out to you Mike Marisa Matt and all the grandchildren. She will never be forgotten. Big hugs prayers and love . This isn’t goodbye it is til we all see her again

How my heart breaks knowing you are gone. We have been friends since I don’t know when. Probably the time we started church together back in the 70’s. You will always hold a special place in my heart. I am so sorry you are gone. Please give Scott a hug for me. I know you both are rejoicing in Heaven, a MUCH better place to be than on this old earth. I love you my friend. See you later.

Deborah was a precious Christian who lived her life always caring for others, especially through her support of the church missions. She was a Christian example for all of us and will be missed by all who knew her. I am sad for your loss and prayers for comfort.
