Floyd Vance Johnston, age 66, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 20, 2023.
Floyd was born on December 21, 1956 in Helena, Arkansas to Bob and Betty Jean Johnston. He graduated from Elaine High School in 1974. On April 7, 1979, Floyd married the love of his life, Lisa Johnston. Together, they built a beautiful life with many memories, friends and family.
If Floyd wasn't working, you could find him with his family. He was the definition of a "family man". Most men retire and have hobbies, but if asked, Floyd would tell you about a recent event or the next event he was planning on attending for one of his grandchildren. Floyd lived for his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Lisa Ann Johnston; his daughter, Jennifer Whittington and her husband, Brad Whittington; his son, Jacob Johnston and his wife, Carol Johnston; Jonathan Daniels and his wife, Monica Daniels; four grandchildren that he cherished more than anything, Riley (16) and Chloe (14) Whittington; Owen (12) and Grace (7) Johnston and a host of family, friends and neighbors that he loved dearly.
Floyd was preceded in death by his mother and father, Bob and Betty Johnston; brother, Larry Johnston; father-in-law, D.G. Daniels; nephew, Matt Daniels; niece, Nicole Gilbert and sister-in-law, Kaye Daniels.
Services will be held Saturday, February 25th, 2023 at New Life Church in the Student Center; 8000 Crystal Hill Rd, North Little Rock, AR 72118. Visitation with family will start at 10:00am with a Celebration of Life starting at 11:00am.

I was proud to know this man! It seemed like he had a best friend everywhere he went and you could count on laughing anout every story he told. It's hard to believe he has moved on. My heart hurts for his family.

I'm just sadly seeing that Mr. Johnston passed away. I was Mr. Johnston's home health nurse for a period of time. It was a pleasure to get to know him. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers as you deal with this big void in your life.

My heart is overflowing with joy and such thankfulness for all the love and support from family, friends, and neighbors during such a difficult time. Thank you all for helping me through this loss in my life. Your presence was a huge comfort and will never be forgotten. I worked with Floyd at Entergy. He was a great man. We had many conversations regarding death. Floyd definitely knew where he was going and he was unafraid. He knew he would be walking on streets on Gold with our Heavenly Father. Prayers for his precious family. He will be missed.
