Cornelia "Dee-Dee" Cavette

of West Helena, AR

June 2, 1932 - February 11, 2023

Lovie Cornelia Cavette, age 90, of Centerton, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023. She was known as "Dee" or "Dee-Dee" to her friends and family. She was born on Thursday, June 2, 1932 in Haynes, Arkansas to the late Samuel D. Sanders and Alice Wallace. Except for a brief stint in Bermuda and Pine Bluff, Ar., Dee lived in the Helena-West Helena area her entire life as a homemaker and mother to her four daughters. She moved to Northwest Arkansas after her husband, James Cavette passed away. Dee was a life-long member of the church and was an avid Bible reader. When she wasn't reading her Bible, you would find her praying or otherwise strengthening her relationship with God. Dee never forgot to remind you how blessed she was or that "God will provide". Her faith was how she survived the difficulties that life threw her way.

She is survived by her four daughters, Nora Ann Cummings of Hope, Arkansas, Deborah Davis of Omaha, Arkansas, Marlene Kalb of West Helena, Arkansas and Francine Fisher of Fayetteville, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Jacob Cummings, Chrissie Havens, James Cummings, Jonathan Ray Davis, Lanie DeJarnatte and Logan Suddath and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Cavette; son, Robert Timothy Fisher; five sisters, Bessie Staggs, Della Staggs, Mary Darby, Dorothy Busby and Olive Cox and two brothers, Jessie Lee Sanders and Samuel "Buster" Sanders.

The family of Dee would like to give a special thank you to the Apple Creek Nursing Health and Rehab in Centerton, Arkansas for taking such good care of their beloved wife, mother and friend.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in West Helena, Arkansas. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Mal will officiate.

Relatives and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/westhelena.

Dee Dee was almost my stepmother back in the 70’s. She was a good Christian woman and was loved by myself and my brother! She was a sweet and caring person! She’s with our Lord and Savior now and we will see one another again, soon.

To Dee’s Family:
Dee took care of my grandmother and also Joes mother for years. She became a good friend to Lena with whom she shared June 2 as their birthday. She was a kind caring person and I’m grateful to have known her.
My God comfort you all in knowing she has gone to be with Jesus and all her family that she loved so much.
