Ms. Jessie Rivera, 77, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023, in Mountain Home. She was born in Norwalk, California on September 2, 1945. She was a member of Emmanuel Church and volunteer at the Matre Senior Center. She loved crocheting (made and donated hats to the hospital), beadwork, sewing, and playing bingo.

Jessie is survived by, her partner of 7 years, James Adams; 2 children: Barbara Novaselec and Gus Rivera, 3 grandchildren: Cesar Reynolds, Joseph Rivera, and Gabriel Rivera; niece: Donna Caldwell-Chaffin; nephew: Ed Caldwell; 2 great-nieces: Claire Caldwell and Lauren Chaffin, and god-daughter: Stacy Perez. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister: Josephine Caldwell, and brother-in-law: Thomas Caldwell.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mom I’m gonna miss you so much. Im glad i got to talk to you one last time before you left us. Your in a better place now mom no more sickness no more suffering god has taken you home. Thank you mom for always loving me your best and always believing in me no matter what. Im so glad that you got to find the love you had always looked for with James… James thank you for taking care of my mom and loving her. Thank you for showing her what true love is, she deserved it.. Your truly gonna be missed mom I love you so much mom im gonna miss you so much mom im sorry i didnt get to see you before you left.. But i will see you again one day cant wait mom until then save a spot for me.

Goodbye dear friend. We have not known each other very long but we had a lot of fun and shared some great meals together. (I will miss you rice) you made James happy and that meant a lot to me.

And we will always have the day your Doctor called and said your heart monitor went off you said yeah I was laughing at Bernie.

I love you and miss Jess and am glad I got to know you.

Miss Jessie was one of the kindest lady's that I ever had the privilege of meeting. She always had a beautiful smile to light up the day. I used to tease her (all in good fun) about her nails. She was always willing to talk about her day and what she had done. She will be greatly missed.
