Janet Marie Ritchie, 75, of Burt, Iowa, died Saturday, January 28, 2023, in Iowa. She was born July 20, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Edward and Margaret (Longberger) Rutledge.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kellawain ''Kelly'' Ritchie, and one grandson, Jason.
She is survived by six children, Rhonda Cash and husband Russell, Floyd King and wife Amy, Debbie and Danny Ritchie, Gary Ritchie and wife Shanna, and Lora Kettelwell; six grandchildren, Amanda, Joshua, Samantha, Kendra, Tyler, and Kayla; six great-grandchildren, Annalee, Ridge, Aubree, Addison, Ellie, and Jaxon; one sister, Joyce Durant and husband Kenneth; and numerous nieces and nephews who loved her dearly. The family wants to thank Marvella Hingson of Lone Rock, Iowa, for loving and caring for Janet. Marvella was like a sister to Janet. Marvella we love you and can't thank you enough.
A visitation will begin 12:00 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home chapel in Clarksville, Arkansas, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Mt. Airy Cemetery. Pastor Terry Anthony will officiate. Floyd King, Gary Ritchie, Danny Ritchie, Russell Cash, Rande Smith, and Mark Williams will serve as casket bearers.
Reception will follow graveside at Mt. Vernon Community Center.

Aunt Janet You will be missed by every single person that had the blessing to have met and got to know you !! You were the first person (outside of family) that my momma would let me go spend the night with as a kid. My friendship with Debbie in the 7th grade changed all our lives. Your friendship with my mom and her setting you and uncle Kelly up on a date created so so many wonderful memories for us all. I love you and I cherish every single memory that I have with you. Janet,
Your laugh, your smile and kindness will be missed. I have so many memories of you throughout my childhood, holding my babies and having your children be a part of my family's life. The most recent memory of you was traveling across country in your car with Debbie. We saw some beautify scenery, hit some casino's (once at midnight and Debbie only gave us about a whole hour to gamble), we traveled through ice and snow and made it to California in record time. All the way there you talked about Kelly and how much you love him. I know half your heart went to heaven the day he passed, and now your heart is whole again, you both are in heaven enjoying each other and the love you share. I know you are both looking over your family and friends and will wait on the other side of the rainbow until we meet again. Please tell everyone in heaven we miss them!!
