of North Little Rock, AR

October 29, 1953 - January 23, 2023

Patric Willis Hunter, born October 29, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, passed away on January 23, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dixie Lee May and Hugh Hunter; and brother, Michael (Dusty).

Patric moved to Arkansas when he was very young. He grew up in the North Little Rock area, where he made many lifelong friends. He loved meeting new people, and was always handing out wintergreen mints. He loved the area, especially lake #1, where he would sit and enjoy the beauty that Arkansas has.

Pat attended school in North Little Rock; where he met the love of his life, Christie Hunter. They had a 47-year marriage, which bore three children; Rachel Borecky, Alexander Hunter, and Christopher Hunter. Pat went on to be a huge part of their life in school, as Co president of the PTA in Parkhill. Later in life, he became a grandfather of four; Caitlin, Kannon, Matthew, and Maverick Hunter. He loved spending time with them, and they were great joys in his life, along with his newly found daughter in law, Abby Hunter, who loved him very much.

He had a passion for building, tinkering, and motorcycles. He loved taking trips across Arkansas with his wife. He had many dogs throughout his life and loved them all, especially Izzy and Willy who were a great comfort to him.

He was lucky to have an extended family, which he loved deeply. His family would like to thank
the many doctors, nurses, and friends that supported him; and to all those reading this.

He is deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Cremation arrangements entrusted to Roller-Owens Funeral Home. Private services will be held at a later date.

God looked around his garden
And he found an empty place
He then looked down upon his earth
And saw your tired face.
He put his arms around you
And lifted you to rest
God's garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew that you would never
Get well on earth again.
He saw the road was getting rough
And the hills are hard to climb.
So he closed your weary eyelids,
And whispered ''Peace be Thine''
It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn't go alone
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

My Dear Friend Christie,

Please know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. Pat was a sweet man. He was one of us at Park Hill Elem. Our secretary, Sandy Wood named him Mr. Park Hill! That’s what I called him. He worked hard to make our school special. Every time he saw me he would ask “how late did you stay up doing paperwork?” He would then tell me that you would get up at 4:00 A.M. to do yours. It really bothered him that our job required that much paperwork. He loved you dearly Christie and was concerned that you weren’t getting enough rest. I’m hoping retirement provided much needed rest and recreation for both of you. Just wish you had had more of it with your hubby. Thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. May God Bless You All!! Becky Heathcock
