Mary Paul Reeves

of Little Rock, AR

November 28, 1932 - January 18, 2023

Mary Paul Reeves, 90, of Little Rock went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. She was born on November 28, 1932 to Paul and Delpha Keith in Stephenville, Texas, where she spent much of her youth. After graduating from Tarleton State College, she married Jack R. Reeves and they eventually settled in Dallas. At First Baptist Church of Dallas, she began a fifty plus year ministry teaching Sunday School and bible study that continued at First Baptist Church of Mena and Immanuel Baptist Church of Little Rock. A gifted teacher, she and her husband modeled a life of quiet service founded in prayer and God's word.

She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two brothers and a son-in-law. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jacqueline and Danniwayne Smith, as well as beloved extended family.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Friday, January 27, 2023 at Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel with Dr. Rex M. Horne officiating. Interment will be at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2023 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Arkansas Baptist Children and Family Ministries at arkansasfamilies.org.

Jacqueline, I was truly blessed to get to minister in some small way to Mary Paul as one of my deacon widows. She was a wonderful lady to get to know. Our prayers are with you and we rejoice in the knowledge that she is in Heaven with her King Jesus.

Mary Paul was such a wonderful example of a godly Christian lady who in her loving and quiet way taught many ladies Christian truths and values through her years of teaching. I am sure she heard, “Well done good and faithful servant” when she entered the gates of heaven.

You are in our prayers as you go through this separation time.

Jacqueline, my heart aches for the great loss you and Danniwayne are experiencing in the loss of your precious mom. She was certainly exemplary in her love, devotion and service to her Lord. David and I are praying for you and just trying to imagine the sheer delight and elation she must be experiencing in the physical presence of the Lord God Almighty, The Redeemer and Holy Spirit. I love you!
