Gwindlene Scott, 86, of Coal Hill died Thursday, January 12, 2023 in Clarksville. She was born April 13, 1936 in Ozone, to Edgar and Mary (Doke) Sapp. Gwindlene was deeply devoted to her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was fond of sewing and quilting. Gwindlene was also a devout member of Westside Full Gospel Church, where she never missed a service.

She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joe Frank Cooper; her second husband, Frank Scott; her parents, Edgar and Mary Sapp and two sisters, Lucille Galentine and Loleta Daniel.

Gwindlene is survived by two daughters, Vetrice Gaitskell of Coal Hill and Veda Reno and husband, Bill of Clarksville; five grandchildren, Beatrice Demoret and husband, Ricky of Dover, Tiffany Dorsett and husband, Archie of Clarksville, Danielle Connolly and husband, Brandon of Delaware, MaryJo Harris of Clarksville and Cassidy Reno of Clarksville; four great-grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

A visitation will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel followed by a funeral service at 1 P.M. Interment will be at Annie's Chapel with Bro. Louis Bennett officiating. Ricky Demoret, Archie Dorsett, Brandon Connolly, Ralph Freeman, Jeffery Freeman and Robbie Willis will serve as pallbearers. Bill Reno and Melvin Keylon will serve as honorary pallbearers. Funeral service is under the direction of Roller-Cox Funeral Home. Online obituary at www.rollerfuneralhomes.com/clarksville.
