Jerry Russell, 82, of Charleston, Arkansas passed away at his residence in Charleston, Tuesday, January 10, 2023.
He was born on July 20, 1940 in Paris to his parents, Pink Russell and Ida Rose (Gabbard) Russell. Jerry retired from Arkoma Machine and Fishing, where he worked as a fisherman in the oil field industry. He enjoyed tinkering on things in his shop, watching the deer on his property, riding his side by side with his dog, Bootsie, spending time on the water fishing and hanging out with the grandkids.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers, Isaiah ''ID'' Russell, Pink ''Boots'' Russell, Jr., James ''JB'' Russell and Gerald ''Joe'' Russell; six sisters, Doris Hatcher, Dessie Appleton, Florene Young, Wanda Melton, Ann Alston and Helen Smith.
He is survived by his wife of almost 34 years, Connie (Reed) Russell of Charleston; one son, Scott Russell and wife, Michelle of Charleston; two daughters, Stacy Armer and husband, Justin of Kentucky and Kim West and husband, Rick of Booneville; one sister, Sally Barber of Rogers; seven grandchildren, Josh, Brittany, Nick, Myla, Jake and wife, Kristin, Hayden and wife, Aubrie and Gabe; three great grandchildren, Aria, Auburn and Carter; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Roller Funeral Home Chapel in Paris, officiated by Bro. Michael Sanchez. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Paris under the direction of Roller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Josh Russell, Jake Fennell, Hayden Fennell, Gabe Fennell, Rick West and Dean West.

Words alone can't even begin to express how much you will be missed. You were our very best friend, father, father in law, and papa. We will forever miss calling to get your advice on how to make your homemade thanksgiving dressing, strawberry freezer jelly, or calling to say can you come over for a few minutes to help with a project (which you would make sure we did our part), which was always meant to teach us the right way. We will miss the phone calls where you and Scott would talk for what seemed like hours about politics or anything else going on in the world, or nothing at all but to vent to each other in a fun way. Scott would say, this is how dad and I talk and communicate to each other. Josh will forever miss calling for papas advice, eating his deer roast and thanksgiving turkey that mine would never be anywhere close according to Josh. I will miss our gardening moments and how proud he was of my 40 x 60 garden. We will forever thank "You and Connie" for being the second set of parents to Josh, attending his sports activities when we were working to make ends meet, and helping shape and mold him into the man that he is today. We will forever cherish all the memories in our heart! We will forever miss our best friend, father, father in law, and papa.
