Carroll D. Sipes, Sr. ("aka Barney"), was born July 23, 1940 in Kingsland, Arkansas to the late Cal Sipes and Vetta Roberts- Sipes.
Barney spent 30 years working for Roadway Express as a dock worker.
He was greatly known for his love and compassion of family, being the best papaw and mostly how he made sure to hug everyone. Barney was a proud member of Stanfill Baptist Church, where he and his loving wife attended for 22 years.
Barney was preceded in death by his mother and father, 2 brothers, 1 sister, a daughter and a son in-law.
He is survived by his amazing wife of 60 years, Frances; 1 son, Carroll, Jr. (Jody) of Jacksonville; daughter, Jeannie (Chris) of Jacksonville; daughter, Tamy of Cabot; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Linda of Fordyce.

We loved Barney and Mrs. Francis. There will never be better hugs from anyone compared to Barney’s. Praying for the family during this time. We were attending another funeral at the same time or we would have been there.
