Nellie Sue Jones, 90, of Trumann, AR passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. She was born on September 12, 1932 in Trenton, Alabama to Ezy Ollie and Myrtle (Toney) Reeves. She was of the Baptist faith. Nellie worked at Parker Hannifin until her retirement and she enjoyed sewing, quilting, gardening and working in her flower beds.
Nellie is preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 66 years, Elbert Jones; a son, George Jones; daughters, Wilma Leona Jones and Kathy Batten and a grandson, Ryan Nicholas Batten.
Left to cherish her memory are her son, Louis (Linda) Jones; a daughter, Ruby Boozer; grandchildren, Rudy Ray Jr., Brandi (Josh) Norris, Pamela Darlene Jones, Elbert Louis Jones, Jr., Erika Nakole Jones, JR Taylor and Jamie (Melissa) Batten; 10 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Ollie Reeves and a sister, Carolyn Oswalt.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 30893 Hatchie Coon Rd. in Trumann at 11:00am, with Rick Kimery and Larry Loggins officiating.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 5-7 pm at the church.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Sheldon Wayne Jones, Lane Hamby, Jamie Batten, Randy Lance, Louis Jones Jr. and Blake Weston Jones.
Arrangements are under the care of Roller Farmers Union Funeral Homes.

Sorry for your loss. Just seeing this! Have memories of this little fistey lady. She would let us go with her to chop cotton .lived by them for years. Now she is reunited with her husband and children. Fly high sweet lady

She was so good to me growing up next door in Bay. I have wonderful memories of going down and helping her work out in the garden and had many laughs when she tried to teach me how to can pickles. Every day was something new. I will never forget the things she taught me. Prayers for all wished I could been there today .
