Jerry Richey, 78, of Bono passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022 at St. Bernard's Medical Center. He was born 12/26/1943 in Lawrence County, Arkansas to John Daniel Richey and Opha Lawson Richey Hugg. Jerry previously worked at Southwestern Bell, was a member of Bono Church of Christ and in the National Guard. He was a Razorback fan, enjoyed fishing, a St. Louis Cardinal fan and liked to read westerns.
Preceding Mr. Richey in death are his parents and a sister, Joann Davis.
Survivors include his wife of fifty-five years, Joan Berry Richey; sons, Jarrod Heath (Marsha) Richey and Shane (Cynthia) Richey; grandchildren, Maggie, Emma, Nicholas, Hunter, Lillian, Benjamin, Asher, Sam and Drew; brothers, John D. Richey and Lannie Hugg; sister, Lynn Huckaba and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Friday, December 16 at Bono Church of Christ, 2:00pm with Richard Akin officiating.
Memorial visitation will precede the service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the National Kidney Foundation or The American Heart Association.

We will be praying for you all
Jim and I are sorry for your loss. I remember My husband Jim giving joan a hard time during the commodity give always at Bono. Our boys. Brett & Blake spend a lot of time on the north side Baseball Field. I also worked at southwestern Bell and would see JERRY occasionally, he never failed to stop and talk and ask about Brett & Blake. Our boys played against each other but they never let that change their friendships.
