I worked for Judge Mazzanti for several years, and he contributed greatly to my future success as a Full Professor in Wisconsin. His consistent support and encouragement helped me pursue my educational aspirations, and he certainly helped change my life for the better. This change has allowed me to help other students as they, too, reach for a higher purpose in life. I was so sorry to learn of his passing. He was an amazing person and brought much joy to this world.
Harriette, Donna and I are so sorry to hear about Gene's passing. We always considered both of you as wonderful people and friends. As a young attorney Gene helped us through legal matters when when we were very young. I also enjoyed being involved in building your house in Colony West.
Uncle Gene was always supportive of me whether providing campaign materials for my run for Student Government in college or giving freely of his time and advice over the years. I am even more appreciative of his patience with my dad and the assistance he offered to both my mom and dad through the many years. I am saddened by his passage.
Uncle Gene was a wonderful and giving person. My dad, family and I loved him so very much. During my upbringing he was almost larger than life to me - he made such a strong impression on me on what it looked like to be both a hard working, highly successful and knowledgeable person but at the same time a greatly generous, deeply compassionate and patient person. Now that I am grown I know that so few people can achieve that combination in life. He will be a continuous inspiration to me as I know he will be to everyone that knew and loved him.
Gene and my brother Charles Grassi, were best friends, class mates and hunting buddies. My brother could not have had a better friend. Gene died on Charles' 89th birthday. I know they are all celebrating in Heaven. Love to you Harriet and family.
I know, without a doubt, where Uncle Gene is. He will certainly be missed. He was such a force in so many peoples lives. Including mine. He seemed to be in the background until he was needed and he just showed up. You never had to call him, he just seem to know.
I can't say enough good about this man. I love you Uncle Gene. You most certainly will be missed.
Soar with the Angels, your family and friends who have gone before you.
So sorry for the loss of Mr. Gene! He was a special man to our parents Charles and Mary Jane Grassi. They welcomed him with open arms up in Heaven. They are dancing all together again. Praying for Ms. Harriette and the children, grands and family! God bless all of you!
God bless all the f the family.
I loved my Uncle Gene so very much. He was a wonderful and caring man. He will be missed so very much.
