Glenda Faye Baker, 94, of Little Rock, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on December 9, 2022. She was born on February 6, 1928 in Combs, Arkansas to Will and Julia Mason Joslin and was the youngest of 6 siblings. She graduated from St. Paul High School in 1948. She was married to Virgil Baker and they raised 3 sons together. She was a life-long member of the Pleasant Valley Church of Christ.
She was predeceased by her husband, Virgil E. Baker; as well as her parents and siblings. Survivors include son, Roger Baker (Marilyn) of Little Rock, son, Mike Baker (Karen) of Fayetteville, son, Phillip Baker (Trudy) of Maumelle; grandchildren, Andy Baker (Ashley), Micah Baker (Blake), Jason Baker (Lakin), Bailey Baker, Brooks Baker, Elizabeth Bradshaw (Paul) and J.P. Baker (Jess) and great-grandchildren, Austin and Anderson Baker, Beckett and Jake Baker, Wyatt and Savannah Bradshaw.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 13, at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ, 10900 Rodney Parham Road, Little Rock at 9:30 A.M. with a memorial service following at 10:30. Interment will be at the Combs Cemetery in Combs, Arkansas.
Glenda's smiling presence seemed to always sweeten the space around her. For years I looked forward to seeing her each Sunday. I am so sorry for your loss. May you all find comfort and peace in the promised joy of being with her again.
