Scott Allen Wallace

of Maumelle, AR

October 1, 1961 - November 19, 2022

Scott Allen Wallace of Maumelle passed away on November 19, 2022. Scott was the loving father of Natalie Williams and the doting grandfather of his "buddy", Luke Williams, both of Maumelle. He is survived by his mother, Betty Wallace; brother, Greg Wallace (Stephanie) of Fuquay Varina, North Carolina; sisters, Jo Ellen (Bill) Stover and Sarah Hickman of Little Rock. He is also survived by niece, Hannah Wallace and nephews, Collins Hickman, Miles Hickman, Drew Agar and Sam Wallace. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Wallace and his nephew, Jake Agar.

Scott was born in Little Rock on October 1st, 1961. He was a graduate of Little Rock Catholic High School for Boys, where his success as a student athlete earned him a place on the University of Arkansas Razorbacks football team. After an early injury ended his time on the field, Scott remained an active member of the Sigma Chi fraternity chapter at the U of A, where he made life-long friends. After college, Scott embarked on a dynamic career path where his entrepreneurial talents allowed him many successes. While he often operated several businesses concurrently, many people will remember him as the owner of the local favorite restaurant, Bruno's Little Italy, in Little Rock for 22 years. Throughout his career, Scott found success as a merchant, landlord, talk-radio host, restauranteur and most recently, as the owner of the roofing and home improvement company, Reliant Roof Pros.

Scott was dedicated to serving others and actively participated in organizations that support the community. In addition to supporting the ministries of The Summit Church, he served on various governmental committees and was involved in the Republican Party of Arkansas, including running for public office. He was also proud to be a volunteer Deputy Sheriff for several years. Above all, Scott was generous with his time and talents for causes that touched his heart. A favorite charity of his is the annual Toys for Tots drive, in which he escorted the reigning Miss Arkansas in the parade on his shiny, yellow Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

In his leisure time, Scott was an avid golfer and was a member of the Southern Golf Association. He had the opportunity to travel and experience some of the most elite courses in the nation. When he was not on the links, he enjoyed motorcycle riding and most recently, spending time with his grandson. He will be remembered for so many outstanding qualities including his huge heart, booming laugh and enthusiasm for life. He was a talented chef, rollercoaster enthusiast and fireworks artiste. Above all, he was a loving son, brother, father, grandfather and friend, whose memory will be cherished.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2022 with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m., both at The Summit Church in North Little Rock. Arrangements made through Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.

When I heard the news it hit me like a punch and took the breath from my body. Its hard to think you wont be around for our lunches. I still haven’t wrapped my mind around it totally yet.

You are one of the best guys I ever known. You selflessly gave of your self always.

On the streets we had a lot of wild nights and experienced things that most people will never understand.
We put thousands of miles on the car laughing, joking, and bonding. We would protect the others life with our own to make sure the other stayed safe and went home to our families. That brotherhood turned you into a brother for life. I have three people in this world I call true friends, brothers
and now I have lost one.

When I was done and out. Hurt unable to get around and could barely do for myself. You never forgot me. You always checked in on me and made sure I knew I had a friend for anything I would need. I cant explain how much I needed that and you never wavered for a single minute.

We watched each other’s kids grow up and we would brag to each other about how proud we were. Then you became a grandpa and there was no describing how happy and proud you were.

I am going to miss those times and I am going to miss you my friend. I know you are a protector at heart. God will use you wisely in his army of angels. I will see you again one day.
We will patrol those golden streets together once again as 825.

I miss you and I love you brother

I was your brother in law for many years and I am so sorry to hear that you have gone to the Sigma Chi chapter in the sky. I know you will be
welcomed by many brothers and a loving Lord who loves you as well. You had ups and downs in your business career. What I admired most about you is that you never gave up when the chips were low. You dusted off and jumped right back into the game of life. Rest well my friend, you earned it

Scott was my best friend in 10th and 11th grades at Catholic High. We were together most weekends and always had a good time. After college we drifted apart because I moved out of state but we reconnected on social media about ten years ago. Then we got together for lunch last year when I was back in Little Rock for our 41st high school reunion. After lunch he took me out to Maumelle to see his beautiful home. We visited and laughed and had a great time. My heart aches that he's gone now but my heart is also full of my love for my brother. Rest in peace Scott. Prayers for his mother and all of his surviving family. Sorry I won't be there for the services but I'll be there in spirit.

Lisa and I wish our most sincere condolences to the Wallace family. Prayers for all of you!
From the Book of Common Prayer:
“You only are immortal, the creator and maker of mankind;
and we are mortal, formed of the earth, and to earth shall we
return. For so did you ordain when you created me, saying,
"You are dust, and to dust you shall return." All of us go down
to the dust; yet even at the grave we make our song: Alleluia,
alleluia, alleluia.” Amen.
