Lilia Vega Mobley, 85, of Keiser, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 18, 2022. She was born on August 30, 1937 in La Villa, TX to Samuel Vega and Elida Fernandez Vega. Lilia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Keiser where she sang with the choir and was a nursery coordinator for many years. She retired from American Greeting after many years. Lilia enjoyed gardening, cooking, watching soap operas and spending quality time with her family. She is survived by her sons, Charles (Vicki) Mobley Jr., Joseph (Melissa) Mobley; daughters, Anita Shemwell, Missy (Leon) Williams; grandchildren, Zack Shemwell, Charles Vincent (Amanda) Shemwell, Ashley Danielle Mobley (Mike Lane), Trey Mobley, Daniel Payne, Emily (Jason) Vanscoder, Hank (Mattie) Morgan, Will (Faith) Mobley, Brittani Williams, Savannah Williams, Karissa Williams, Kassidy Williams; great grandchildren, Freyja Shemwell, Gabby Ashley, Gavin Tate, Dallas Tate, Callan Peridore, Payne Peridore, Emaline Vanscoder, Case Morgan, Micah Williams; brothers, Romeo (Barbara) Vega, Felix (Margie) Vega, Samuel (Kathy) Vega, Fairley (Jo Ann) Vega, Jimmy Don (Carol) Vega, Jesus (Delphia) Vega; sisters, Benita Sides, Olivia Vega, Beatriz Myers and Elida (Billy) Kirtley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles William Mobley Sr.; brother, Raymond Vega and sister, Mary Lou Vega. A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2022 from 12:00 pm-1:00 pm at Roller-Swift Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm. Our hearts are saddened to hear of the loss of Ms. Mobley. She was a fine woman and I really liked working with her at Viskase. She will truly be missed. Our prayers and love go out to the family and we ask the Lord to comfort the family during this time. We take comfort in knowing that she is no longer in pain and now with the Lord.
