October 18, 1943 - November 14, 2022

Betty Jane Vandiver, 79, of White Plains, Kentucky went home to her loving Lord on November 14, 2022 in Bryant, Arkansas.

Betty was born in White Plains, Kentucky to Emil and Virginia Walker on October 18, 1943. She graduated from South Hopkins High School in 1961. Betty married her high school sweetheart, Daryl Vandiver on October 20, 1960. Betty's lifelong career in management began by first owning her own daycare. Later she moved into management for Cable providers, then retired after giving 10 years of service to Christian Health Center of Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Betty was a proud member of the First Baptist Church in Mortons Gap, Kentucky and loved serving in the children's ministry there. She was a devout Christian and when she wasn't caring for others she enjoyed gardening, nurturing and growing beautiful flowers in her yard.

Betty is survived by her devoted, loving husband, Daryl Leman Vandiver; children, Tim (Lesa) Vandiver of Bryant, Arkansas and Cindy Roper of Boaz, Kentucky; grandchildren, Alex (Nate) Dubois of Lebanon, Tennessee and Erica (Chase) Watson of Bryant, Arkansas; great-grandchildren, Silas, Ezra, Brody, Colleen and Whittaker. Betty is also survived by her brother, Darrell (Carolyn) Walker and two sisters, Charlotte Truesdale and Marsha Snowden. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Jones Emil Walker and Virginia Evelyn Reynolds Walker.

There will be a graveside Funeral Service at Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery on Thursday November 17, 2022 at 11:00am.

Sweet Aunt Betty, I am heartbroken. I have thought of a million things I wanted to say but am now at a loss. Of all things your laugh is one that will stay with me. I loved you so much. You will be missed.
