I served in the Army.
Hoss HanceI am a Veteran.

of Conway, AR

June 5, 1958 - November 8, 2022

''Hoss'' Hance, 64, of Conway, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, November 8, 2022. He was born June 5, 1958, in Tulare, California, to late Woodrow Hance and Edna Watkins. Hoss was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, James ''Jim'' Hance and Caroline Cummings, and Donna Hance, wife of 20 years.

''Hoss'' was a proud Army Veteran and served as a Faulkner and Perry County Deputy Sheriff 's officer. He was a truck driver for Pipe and Tube supply until retiring. His first passion was his love for his family.
If you knew ''Hoss'', he never met a stranger. He was a protector with a kind and loving soul. He was always full of great stories and loved to visit with all the neighbors. His favorite things to do were listening to old country music, tending to the horses, and most of all he loved to drive his ''Buggy'' around with his sidekick ''Honey'' and visit all the neighbors.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Martha Caudle; his daughters, Carolyn (Steven) Stroud and Pam Cruse all of Conway; a brother, Ron Hance; his grandchildren, Mikhail ''Rusty'' (Alexis) Long, Haley (Justin) Case, Drew (Ivy) Stroud, Ashlyn Staley and Kaci Fewell, all of Conway; and eleven great-grandkids, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, at 11:00am, visitation will be one hour prior.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Hoss. I worked with him for many years at Pipe and Tube Supply. He was a genuinely good man and would be the last one off of a ship went down. He was funny, kind and honest. All of us coworkers knew Hoss loved his family and he could spin a story like a wagon wheel! I sure loved him. Praying for your family. The world is a lot less bright without good ole Hoss around.

I have missed so much of our lives together. Chuck and Hoss were buddies and pulled some crazy stunts. I will never forget all the times that Mom, Chuck and I would hop in the car and go up to Woody and Edna's just to visit. I will have to pass this along to Chuck. So sorry to hear this. RIP Hoss!
No more pain, just enjoy the fishing and hunting with Steve, Daddy and all the rest of the family. Be sure to clean the fish before you have Aunt Edna and Mom fry them up!

I will forever miss you Uncle Hoss, my protector. Kindest and most loving soul I've ever met, from the day I met him. He called me his Shannon-doahh aka Juggs. I know he would have risked his life to protect me, because that's what he done for his family. I don't know what I'm going to do now that he's gone. I will miss him forever, please continue to watch over me Uncle Hoss. I love you.

Hoss was a good man and a fine neighbor. He honorably served his country in the United States Army, and his community as a member of the Faulkner County Sheriff's Department. He was generous with his time and with anything he owned. He loaned me his tractor, then taught my wife and I how to drive it :). I enjoyed every minute I spent with him, and I learned something from him each time. He was a man of his generation, and understood the world and himself on his terms.
When we spoke, he shared truth and advice as he knew it, and I respected him.

I will miss seeing him and Honey coming across the field, and our great front porch conversations. I wish him rest and peace, and joyous reunions with his loved ones that went ahead.

Our deepest sympathy to the family for their loss. Hoss was a great neighbor & friend and will be sorely missed. He and Honey would come down in the side by side and sit on the porch and we'd talk and visit; he had a heart of gold and would do anything for you. Rest in peace, friend.
