Ms. Millicent Joan (Bayne) Byrd, 94, of Mountain Home passed away
Sunday October 30, 2022. She was born March 28, 1928 in Waukesha, Wisconsin to James and Julia (Schofield) Bayne.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Clark Gaylan Jones, who she married in 1946. Also by a dear friend, William Brown.
She is survived by three sons, Richard Lynn Jones of Virginia, Dr. Ronnie Eugene Jones of Oklahoma and Robert William Byrd of Kansas; one daughter, Linda Diane Byrd of Kansas and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She attended the University of Kansas Nursing School, graduating valedictorian in 1966. She then served as an ICU Nurse at KU Medical Center and then at Baxter County Regional Medical Center until her retirement in 1998. She married William Byrd in 1954.
