February 13, 1936 - October 20, 2022

Royce Wilburn Morris joined his wife in eternal peace on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at the age of 86. He passed peacefully at his home in Searcy, AR surrounded by family and loved ones, which included at his bedside the life-sized photo of a monster catfish he caught.
Royce was born to Loy and Orpha Morris on February 13, 1936 in McRae, AR. He went on to serve his country in the Navy for 4 years. His heart however remained at home as he ''had to leave a little girl in Kingston town.'' He would return to marry that girl, Janice L. Morris, on September 20, 1958. They shared an old-fashioned love, one that grew ever stronger over their 64 years of marriage. A love so strong that even death could not keep them apart for long, as Janice went to be with her lord and savior on September 15, 2022. Oh, what a joyous reunion Royce and Janice must be having!
During his life Royce was devoted to his family and God. He stood strong in his beliefs and worked hard with his hands, first at AP&L for 20 years and then sowing crops on his 76 acres of land. Hard work never stopped him from his favorite hobbies of fishing and hunting however. He took great pride in teaching his son and grandson the secrets of nature and later providing fish to Faith Assembly's Freedom Fest, until the event became so large that it was impossible to catch that many fish in a year. Royce always enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, but he was especially fond of his children singing the old gospels.
Royce was preceded in death by his mother, Loy and father, Orpha as well as his brother, Rayburn. He is survived by his 3 children, Janet, Debbie and Randy; his 4 grandchildren, Jayson, Margaret, Kama and Autumn ''Sky'' and his 3 great grandchildren, Adelaide, Silas and Audrey.
Visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with service to follow at 2:00pm. Interment will be at Foster Chapel Cemetery.
