Imogene (Rhea) Rudd, 88, of Jonesboro, AR passed from this life Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. She was born September 19, 1934 in Greene County, AR to J.H. and Lula (Bobo) Rhea. She lived her entire life in the Jonesboro-Paragould area. She worked at Frolic Footwear in the 1960's before quitting to take care of her children. After they were school age, she went to work for the Jonesboro Public School system until retirement in 1996. She loved gardening, canning, cooking and reading. She was a member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church where she married the love of her life, Norman Rudd, and later they attended Southwest Church of Christ.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers, Jeff, Doc, Donald, Earnest, James and Roy Rhea and two sisters, Gladys Duffel and Alma Harris.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Norman Rudd, of the home; a son, Barry (Norma) Rudd; a daughter, LaDonna (David) Todd, all of Jonesboro; two sister-in-laws, Linda Rhea and Bethel Anschultz; and numerous nephews, nieces and a host of friends.

Chapel services will be 10 am Wednesday October, 19, 2022 at Roller-Farmers Union Funeral Home, 1900 West Washington Avenue in Jonesboro with Jimmy Adcox officiating. Burial will follow at Rutherford Cemetery.

Visitation will precede the service, beginning at 9 am.

Pallbearers will include Jim White, Byron White, Jim Tubbs, Wayne Timmons, Mike Oliver and Stephen Goad. Honorary pallbearers will include Jim Rhea, Bill Rhea, Roger Rhea, Robin Rhea, Curtis Duffel, Tommy Simmons and Jim Horman.

For lasting memorials, the family ask that you consider giving to either the Rutherford Cemetery Assn, 864 Plum Hill Drive, Jonesboro, AR 72401; the Southwest Church of Christ Food Pantry, 1601 James Street, Jonesboro, AR 72401; or the charity of the donor's choice.

Norman, I am so sad to hear about Imogene. You and family are in my prayers. I lost Perry in May and still miss him so much. Praying for you in the days to come as you go forward without your Imogene. God bless and give you peace and comfort.
