October 25, 1938 - September 5, 2022

Kenneth Wayne Bolin, 83, of Maumelle, went to be with the Lord, September 5, 2022. He was born October 25, 1938 in Higginson, Arkansas to Thomas Marion and Elna Ruth Mullen Bolin.

Wayne served in the National Guard from 1957 to 1963, with active duty for 10 months during the Berlin Wall Crisis. Wayne attended Baptist X-Ray school and worked as an x-ray technician his entire career. He retired from Baptist Health.

Wayne met Margaret in Little Rock in 1957. Wayne had an apartment in the boarding house where Margaret lived. The 2 were married November 8, 1958, sharing almost 64 years together. Wayne was a quiet, kind and loving man and loved his family dearly. He always put their needs before his.

Wayne was a member of Windsong Church of Christ where he quietly served the Lord. The family would like to thank Demetria Foreman, Hospice Home Care and UAMS for the care they provided.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael Bolin and brother, Richard Bolin. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret Bolin and daughter, Lisa Bolin.

Visitation will be held 10 am Friday, September 9, 2022 at Windsong Church of Christ, 3 Windsong Drive, Maumelle, with funeral services following at 11.

Margaret and Lisa,
I am so sorry to learn of Wayne's passing. Our friendship started at Holcomb's Boarding House and we worked in the same office at the Capitol building (3rd floor). I remember Wayne giving us a ride to work when his schedule allowed it. I married and moved to the Pine Bluff/White Hall area. A few years later Wayne came to work in the new Jefferson Regional Hospital x-ray department and the family moved to Pine Bluff. We were able to visit and compare notes on our babies. I am sorry that after our families moved we lost contact. You are in my thoughts and prayers for strength and comfort

Dear Margaret and Lisa,

I was soooo sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. He was such a kind and gentle spirit, and I have many wonderful memories of the visits with you all in Arkansas. Thinking of him makes me think of Uncle Tom. My memories of him are similar to Wayne....quiet and gentle. He will be greatly missed. I'm keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort during this extremely difficult time. ❤️

Wayne was just a few months younger than Dad and was very special to him. My mother and Margaret became friends at work. When Mom and Dad started dating, Dad couldn't wait to introduce her to Wayne who was living in the same city at the time. When Wayne showed up for dinner with his new girlfriend Margaret, the girls erupted in laughter because they were already friends! This led to lots of good times and good stories that my sister and I will always cherish. Love you guys!
