Curtis Carter, 84, of Jonesboro, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2022. He was born July 15, 1938 to Ed and Leona (Pruitt) Carter in Jonesboro.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Cletis, Archie and Arthur Carter; an infant brother; and sisters, Beatrice Wagner, Lucille Carter, Marguerite Ward and Elsie McConnaughhay.

Curtis lived most of his life in the Nettleton area. He was a veteran of the US Army and served in Germany. He received medals for Sharpshooter (Rifle M-14), Marksman (MG-30mm) and Good Conduct Medal.

Curtis will be laid to rest at Pine Hill Cemetery in a private cemetery.
