Lavada P. Oldfield

of Wooster, AR

October 1, 1934 - August 9, 2022

Lavada Pauline Oldfield, 87, of Wooster, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born October 1, 1934 to the late Walter Amos and Edith Pauline Hutson in Tulia, Texas.
Lavada is preceded in death by her beloved parents; devoted husband, Wesley Oldfield; cherished daughter, Debbie Dilbeck and dearest grandson, Andrew Dilbeck.

Known better to most of the world as Nanaw, she was the kind of person you only met once in a lifetime. Her love language was giving advice from time to time, a great conversation or fervent prayers. She gave with her whole heart. Her love and steadfastness to her faith were unshakable. If she said she would pray, there was little doubt you were covered morning, noon and night. Even at a young age Nanaw had a passion for music, whether playing piano or singing in a quartet. Her creativity didn't stop there. She was a beauty operator and cosmetologist for 20 plus years and she enjoyed preserving memories through scrapbooking and was by far the world's greatest maker of cakes.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister, Vanetta Dye of Wooster; granddaughters, Christina Dilbeck of Wooster, Wendy (Bruce) Casilio of South Carolina; great-grandchildren, Marc (Emily) Redican, Ashley (Rowdy) Stovall, Caleb (Maria) Casilio, Cecily Dilbeck, Joshua Casilio, Dakota Dilbeck and Zion Noelle Casilio; great-great-grandchildren, Brenden, Dominic, Charlotte and cherished family friend, Tammy Sublett.

Nanaw elegantly wore many hats with dignity and grace. Her most cherished were sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Her devotion to her family was unwavering, even when she didn't agree and refused to tell you what you wanted to hear, she reassured you with her love. No matter her personal trials, she had a way of uplifting those around her. Nanaw truly had a zest for life, to know her was to love her, but to be loved by her was one of life's rarest gifts.

There will be a visitation from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas on Friday, August 12, 2022.
Funeral services will be at 2:00pm Saturday, August 13, 2022 at The House of Prayer, located at 684 US-65, Greenbrier, AR 72058, with burial to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wooster, Arkansas.
