A special thank-you to the staff at Indian Rock Village Care Center of Fairfield Bay, truly her ''Band of Angels''!

This precious lady was always so welcoming to any of Donna's friends. How she put up with us, I will never know. When I shared about her passing to our friend Sharron (Patillo) Tucker, she told me a sweet memory that she has never forgotten. It made me laugh and I am hoping all of her family will remember times like these, where their Mom's/Grandma's sense of humor shone through. Sharron said we were probably around 12 or 13 years old and were at a party at the McGroom's home. At some point during that night Mrs McGroom/Upchurch referred to someone as being a "fart smeller". Then she explained "smart feller". We all must have gotten a real good laugh out of that and Sharron said she will never forget how funny she thought that was. I know this loss will leave a hole in our hearts for a very long time but I do believe she is walking with Jesus and probably making him laugh a little too. All of us girls will never forget her. We loved her so much. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

I am so sorry to hear of Mrs. Upchurch's passing. When she come to see us, she always was so pleasant. We would visit a bit and she would show her pictures of her trips after visiting family abroad. We haven't seen her in a while and we have missed her. I know she will be missed by her family and friends very much. Each of you will be in my thoughts and prayers during this time.

With Sympathy,
