of Mountain Home, AR
December 9, 1935 - August 5, 2022
Robert Lowell Conner, Sr. of Mountain Home, passed away at his home, following a brief illness on August 5th, 2022. He was born on December 9, 1935 in Logan, Ohio to John Shelton Conner and Margaret Betty Pavlik Conner. He was known as Bob, but also answered to Lowell, Junior and Brother. Bob grew up in Mishawaka, Indiana, where he graduated from high school at age 15. He earned a degree in chemistry from Indiana University and was a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Air Force, serving as a navigator on a B-52 during the Cold War. In 1965, Bob moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas where he worked as a Quality Control Engineer at Baxter Labs until his retirement.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 43 years, Helen Hickman Conner and his son-in-law, John Rogers. He is survived by his children, Mary (Ed) Shollmier, Rob (Mindy) Conner, Kelley Rogers and Penny (Kevin) Oxford. He was also Grandpa- the G.O.A.T- to Samantha Conner, Grant (Jessica) Conner, Cara Conner, Emma Rogers, Carter Rogers, David Rogers, Collin (Marlie) Oxford, Conner Oxford and Cooper Oxford. Also missing Bob are his brothers, John and Rick Conner and his sister, Judy Tyler along with a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Bob was a storyteller who enjoyed all things outdoors. He loved his country, his family and his little dog, ZuZu. He was active in his community. He served as a volunteer firefighter, a little league coach and donated blood at every opportunity. He was never happier than when riding his 4-wheeler to the top of his hill, where he proudly declared he could see all the way to Missouri. His family would like to thank his amazing caregiver, Aimee Tabert-Wold and the kind staff of Hospice of the Ozarks. He was one of a kind and we miss him already.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 12 at Roller Funeral Home in Mountain Home. Visitation will be at 1 pm, with the service following at 2 pm. To honor his memory, please give blood, treat everyone with kindness and smile when you remember him.
Robbie you have been in the thoughts of Mike and I. We are so sorry for your loss and send friendship during this difficult time.
Bob was one of the first to welcome us to the Panoramic neighborhood. My elderly mother lived with us & when my husband & I had to go out of town, Bob stopped by every day to check on her & visit over a cup of coffee. A wonderful man who made a difference in this world. He will be missed!
We loved you so much Bob. ❤️ Rest In Peace.
Our prayers are with you "kids" and "grands". Your Dad was a VERY special person. Your Mom too.
She brought a delicious meal to us when Phillip was born there on our second residence in Mtn. Home. On our third time there, Mary, Rob, Kelly and Penny made our "boys" feel right at home. We enjoyed 30 years there and Bob owned land next to ours on Panoramic Drive.
He will be missed by MANY. He was VERY proud of all of you!
Bob always came into our Baxter County Farm Bureau office and filled us with stories and laughter. He and his stories will be greatly missed! Sending prayers for all his family and friends.
To the family so sorry for your loss. Bob and Helen were special. I had the honor with working with each of them. Bob always had a smile and great story to tell each time you had the honor to see him somewhere in town.

Bob was one of the best. He was a great boss and friend. I will always cherish the memories of working for Bob. Praying for his family.
We have been neighbors of bob and Helen since moving around the corner from them in 1984. He was always kind to our children. We will always remember him being not only an animal lover- taking care of Robs animals in need but kids in the neighborhood. Sweet sweet man. Will miss him coming out to talk to me when walking around the neighborhood.
Farewell to a very special person. Bob will be missed by so many. He always had a smile and great conversation. Our hearts, love and hugs go out to all of you.
