August 28, 1934 - June 24, 2022

On Friday, June 24, 2022, Mr. John Frawley completed his journey on the earth. Surrounded by his cherished family, John entered his eternal home and gained complete healing. There to welcome him was his beloved daughter, Pam, along with a host of family and friends. Those who knew and loved John will miss his gentle, generous spirit, his love for sports, especially the Razorbacks, the wonderful conversations and stories he could tell on repeat, and his excitement to travel the world. He and Pat traveled to over 40 countries during their 68 years together. He was a traveling salesman for large corporations for over 30 years and then finally retired from working for the city of Little Rock. During his retirement he enjoyed driving cars for AVIS. The laughter and memories of him will forever live in their hearts. -- "When a Great man dies, for the years the light he leaves behind him, lives on the paths of men" -- Longfellow

John was born on August 28, 1934 in Little Rock. He was a proud graduate of Catholic High School, where he was taught by the one and only Father Tribou and served on the committee for the Half Century Club of Catholic High/Mount St Mary. He joined the Air National Guard after graduating and served for four years.

On Christmas Eve 1953, he met the love of his life, Patricia. They were married on July 14, 1954, through this union two daughters were added. Pamela and Karen. ~"Where there is love in the home, There is joy in the heart".

Preceding him in death, his daughter, Pamela Adkins; his parents, Joe and Sue Frawley; his brother, Joe and sister, Trudy. Those who are left to carry on his legacy, his loving wife, Pat; his devoted daughter, Karen Bryant of Roland, son-in-law, Stan; his 3 grandchildren, Wes Adkins and wife, Saraphina of Ft. Worth, TX, Sgt Allison Adkins of Saginaw, TX and Keri Caitlin Bryant (KC) of Little Rock and her fiance, Zach Winston and 4 great grandchildren, Leighton, Maverick, Henley and Jennings.

Today we said goodbye to our loved one, John Frawley-but we are grateful and confident in the promises made by God. Before too long it will be our time to be called where we will live forever with our families and friends and all who love God. We find peace and comfort in the words from the Holy Scriptures in Isaiah 40:31~Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength, They will soar on wings like the eagles, They will run and never grow weary, They will walk and not be faint, Blessed are the words of the Lord.

In lieu of flowers, please send memorials in John's name to Catholic High School for Boys, 6300 Father Tribou St, Little Rock, AR 72205, Highland Valley United Methodist Church 15524 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR 72211 or the Pulaski County Humane Society, 14600 Colonel Glenn Rd. Little Rock, AR 72210 or your chosen charity.

Visitation is, Tuesday, June 28, 2022, from 5:00-7:00 pm at Roller Chenal. Funeral service will follow Wednesday, June 29 at 11:30 am, in the chapel.

Dear Pat and Karen,
I am just finding out about John’s passing tonight. I am so very sorry and saddened to read this. I’ll never forget how sweet John was to me and how much I enjoyed getting to know you all and in helping you with a few of those many trips you took! Pat, I still remember Alex and I having dinner with you and John many, many years ago at Julie’s Place. I have thought of you and John often through the years and appreciate your kindness and friendship that we shared. Hugs and prayers for you all. Pat, I’ll be in touch. Love you!

It’s hard to imagine a world without Uncle John—our trips to see family in Little Rock always included a much anticipated outing to see our special Uncle John and Aunt Pat and there are so many special memories we carry with us from these wonderful get togethers. Although we are separated by the miles, today, as always, we send our love, our hugs, and our prayers and we share in your sorrow as we miss this larger than life man. We pray that God will bless you all and hold each of you tenderly in the palm of his hand as you go through this difficult time. Your Arizona family loves you dearly and we are holding you close in our hearts.

What a privilege to know Mr. John. Pat, KB and KC it would have been understandable if you had kept his warmth and love to yourselves, but you didn’t. You shared your love for him with everyone and gave us a glimpse of the character he was. May you all draw on the love that surrounds you in the coming days.

I was so saddened to hear of John’s passing. I thought of John like a father especially when Pam and I got caught doing something we knew he wouldn’t approve of! All my love goes to his family and prayers to help with the grief. He may be gone from this earth but will always be in my heart. Love to you all, Susan Rutherford

The family that you and Nana started has been a bigger blessing to me than you’ll ever know. I feel blessed to have been an adopted part of your family. My heart goes out to the entire family but I know you are in a much better place and once again able to yell at the TV like you use to.

When Wes and I were growing up, you were a giant in our eyes. Both physically (I remember thinking you were the tallest man I’d ever seen) and mentally (I’ll never forget the wisdom you sprinkled into our lives as we were learning to become men).

I’ll never forget the man you were while you were still alive. Even after retiring - the energy, personality and love for life was so abundant that i can remember telling Amy (my wife) how I hoped we could retire and enjoy the retired life as much as you and Nana did. You guys traveled All. The. Time.

I’m certain you know how great of a life you lived but I still look forward to seeing you in heaven and telling you how much of an impact you made on me and my life. Thank you for a life well lived!
