March 18, 1933 - June 23, 2022

Wanda Roberts Smith, the sweetest, most kind-hearted and generous wife and aunt, left us on June 23, 2022. Born to Mildred Croom Roberts and Leighton Lee Roberts on March 18, 1933, she graduated from Morrilton High School and immediately moved to Little Rock to work for Archer Drug. In 1952, she was smitten upon meeting Doyle Smith and their 62-year marriage began December 1953. Their lives together were true examples of love and service, and their sheer joy of living made them cherished friends to all they met. Although no children were born to this union, many were blessed to have them as our very special Aunt and Uncle.

Aunt Wanda lived her fellowship with Christ every day and was not afraid to pick the right times to speak up and become active on behalf of others. She volunteered for over 35 years with Friendship International. She treasured her friendships through the Grace Class of Immanuel Baptist Church and was always enthusiastic about new revelations in their studies.

She grieved the loss of her beloved husband, who died in 2016; her brother, Lowell Roberts; her sister, Patricia Collins; her sister-in-law, Elwanda Smith; her niece, Flota and nephews, Terry and Bert. She is survived by her brother, Lindell Roberts (Marie); brother-in-law, Bob Collins; sister-in-law, Jan Roberts and brother-in-law, Gene Smith. In addition, her adoring nieces and nephews will miss her greatly and reflect fondly of her love and guidance through the years, Wanda Gean and Werner, Julie, Phyllis Ann, Reida, Lella, Sandra, Diane, Chris, Joe, Larry and Bob.

Service will be Tuesday, June 28 at 1:30 pm in the Immanuel Baptist Church Chapel, located at 501 N. Shackleford Rd., Little Rock, AR 72211, followed by interment at Pinecrest Cemetery in Alexander, AR. Honorary pallbearers are Darrell and Troy Cheatham, Chris and Brian Roberts and Blake and Brad Smith.

Memorials may be made to the Generations Building Fund at Immanuel Baptist Church, 501 N. Shackleford Rd., Little Rock, AR 72211, or to a charity of your choice.
