Jewel Wilcox Loveless

of Conway, AR

July 4, 1937 - June 14, 2022

Jewel Wilcox Loveless went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the age of 84. She was born on July 4, 1937 in Springhill, Arkansas to Fred and Velma Wilcox and she loved the fireworks on the Fourth of July to celebrate our country's birth and hers.

She attended Greenbrier High School where she played basketball, and attended the University of Central Arkansas. She met her husband Gene, the love of her life, in 1956 and they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary last year. They had two daughters, Jeanne and Chris. She was employed for 30 years at Conway Human Development Center and retired in 1995. She was an avid quilter and loved spending time at the beach in Florida collecting shells.

She is survived by her husband, Gene Loveless of Conway, daughters Jeanne Loveless Seewald (Don) of Naples, Florida and Chris Loveless Strauss of Little Rock. Also survived by her grandchildren Steele Strauss of Little Rock and Margo Seewald Mittelsteadt (Stephen) of Greenville, South Carolina, and her great-grandchildren Max Mittelstaedt and Roxanne Mittelstaedt and many cherished nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents Fred and Velma Wilcox, sisters Oneida Milam and Joy Wilcox and brothers Jimmy Wilcox and Freddie Wilcox.

She attended Springhill Baptist Church her whole life and loved her church family. She never met a stranger and loved talking to people and learning about them and their family. She lived a beautiful and spiritual life and lived up to her name as she was a true jewel. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A visitation will be held at 10:00am, Friday, June 17, 2022, followed by funeral services at 11:00am, at Springhill Baptist Church, Springhill, Arkansas. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery.
