Terry Moore Black, age 75, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away June 2, 2022. Born in Van Buren, Arkansas, to William Henry "Hal" and Cuenette Black, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda Rainwater Black.
Terry served two tours in the United States Marine Corps, from 1964-1968, serving with the 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion and the 13th Marines. He then worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone until his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman, and loved animals. He truly epitomized the motto "Semper Fidelis".
A caring husband and father, he is survived by his two sons, Ryan and Joshua Black, and his cousin, Joseph Jackson.
Funeral Mass will take place at Christ the King Catholic Church in Little Rock on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. Interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Van Buren will occur on a later date.
Terry Black passed away on 6.2.2022. He began his career as a coin collector in Ft. Smith & retired as the SBC-AR 911 DB manager in Little Rock. He knew more about the 911 DB & 911 addressing than anyone I ever worked with. I can't tell you how many counties that he helped address or how many novices he trained. He certainly was patient with me and joyfully enriched my worklife. I will miss taking pot shots with him and hearing, " Bryant, you don't have to tell everything you know!" I don't know if Heaven is 911 addressed, so maybe he'll have a super project waiting for him. Love you, Blackster.
Ryan and Josh,
Joe and I were so sad to hear about your dad’s passing. He and Lynda were wonderful neighbors for many years. May time decrease your grief and heighten your memories of a fantastic man.
I’m so very sorry to hear this. My condolences to Ryan and Josh.
Enjoyed his humor and posts on Facebook... We were High School friends, separated by choice of Military Service... The world is a lesser place but still a great memory of him...

To the family of Terry Black:
I think of Terry and how much he meant to the 9-1-1 community. He was part of a team that was instrumental in our success as managers for cities. We were all like family, my heart broke when I heard he had been ill. I'm so sorry for your loss and ours. We loved Terry like a brother.
Respectfully,
Ms Lee (Black) Shaw
