December 16, 1919 - May 25, 2022
Marian Francis Wells Whitten, age 102, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on May 25, 2022. Marian was born to Alfred and Grace Wells on December 16, 1919, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
On October 27, 1940, she married Carl L. Whitten and together they had three sons, Ronnie (Linda) Whitten of Vilonia, Carl G. "Punkin" (Trishia) Whitten of Greenbrier and James (Shannon) Whitten of Ash Flat. She is survived by these three sons as well as grandchildren, Tracy (Ronnie) Livingston, J.Lee (Steve) Rogers, Cassy Tudeen, Cody (Amy) Whitten, Brooke (Rob) DeHaven and Alex (Travis) Turner; ten great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She also left behind numerous extended family and friends.
She was a proud Mom and Memaw to her family and they all loved her dearly. She was a homemaker for many years and then went on to work for Wal-Mart for over 40 years. She had a bright infectious smile that would light up a room. If you know Memaw you know that she loved to wear perfume and jewelry, have her nails painted, watch her "stories" in a pair of comfy sweats and drink her coffee all day! She always made everyone feel special and loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Grace Wells; her husband, Carl; brother, Bill Wells, and great-grandson, Case Lee Whitten.
A Graveside Service will begin at 12:30PM, Monday, May 30, 2022, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Conway, Arkansas.
Pallbearers will be Cody Whitten, Rob DeHaven, Travis Turner, Nick Tudeen, Jacob Logan and Ryan McKnight. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Livingston and Steve Rogers.
Prayers for you all! What a great legacy to cherish! Pray for comfort during this difficult time.

Mrs. Whitten was part of the Bentley family, loved and cherished by us all.
My friend you will be well missed I remember standing and talking to you so much at Walmart I was always so very happy when I would walk in and see your smiling face, I haven’t seen you for so long that I didn’t know where you went I would ask but all they would say is we’re not aloud to say and it hurt me and now I read these, my heart goes out to her family and friends for the lost of this wonderful Angel 😇 🌹â¤ï¸ðŸ™
