Gary Ross Grisham

of Harrison, AR

March 11, 1949 - May 25, 2022

Gary Ross Grisham, age 73, of Harrison, passed peacefully in the home surrounded by loving family on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Gary was born on March 11, 1949, in Alpena, Arkansas, the son of Sue and Edd Grisham. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Edna Kay Maybee.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sandra; his sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Holly Grisham of Alpena, Arkansas, Ricky and Jennifer Grisham of Imboden, Arkansas, and James E. Price of Wichita, Kansas; his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Larry Castleberry of Dillon, Colorado; his brother and sister-in-law, David and Connie Grisham of Alpena, Arkansas; and his sister and brother-in-law, Sarah and Randy Newman of Harrison. He was blessed with 8 grandchildren, Trey Grisham, Faith Grisham Lehr, Cade Grisham, Jennifer Alognon, Janell Williams, Jonathan Castleberry, Jessica Castleberry, and Rachael Gray; 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

While in school Gary received many awards in basketball and baseball. He was selected to all-tournament teams at the district and regional level as well as named Most Valuable Player. The family recalls Gary hitting a grand slam home run to win the game at the old baseball stadium by KHOZ.

Gary was a member of Crossroads Community Church for 34 years where he served as an usher and a board member for 12 years during the expansion of the church. He always loved helping others wherever there was a need. He was a butcher and meat route salesperson for 46 years at KC Meat Company followed by Hart's Grocery of Eureka Springs. In his spare time, he mowed yards. Gary loved the Braschler Music Show in Branson and worked there for several years. Their music was always his favorite to listen to.

A great enjoyment Gary had was giving his grandchildren rides on his John Deere mowers. He also loved basketball and would faithfully attend his children and grandchildren's games as their most loyal fan. He also participated as much as possible in all their activities.

Visitation was Sunday, May 29th, 2022, at Crossroads Community Church.
