Johnny Lankford

of Bee Branch, AR

January 25, 1958 - May 23, 2022

Johnny Lankford, 64, of Bee Branch, Arkansas passed away Monday, May 23, 2022. He was born January 25, 1958, to Vernon Lee Lankford and Louise (McKim) Lankford.

He is preceded in death by his father, his brother, Larry Lankford, as well as his daughter, Kayla Lankford.

He is survived by his mother, Louise Lankford; loving wife of five years, Tammy Marshall; brothers, Roger Lankford (Gale), Wayne Lankford (Mattie), Jackie Lankford, Dwight Lankford (Donna), Therman Lankford (Cindy); sisters, Karen Becker (Richard) and Regina Iburg (Larry). Also left to cherish his memory are his sons, Jason Lankford (Shanna); son/grandson, Colby Lankford and step-son, Levi Cole. He leaves behind his daughters, Tasha Grissom (Sam); step-daughter, Kayla Nath (Gunner), as well as grandchildren, Shawn, Chasity, Caleb, Remington, Sadie, Cal, Hyd, Ana and great-grandchildren, Cash and Henzlie and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Johnny was a jack of all trades and a shade tree mechanic. He didn't know a stranger, and if you had a story, he had one bigger! He always talked a good talk. He was never one to venture out without his cowboy hat and boots. Johnny enjoyed the chuck wagon races, cooking, listening to and playing music. He enjoyed dancing and loved a good two step. He loved his family and though he struggled with health issues for several years, he never let it get him down. He was a fighter, came back strong, surpassed many obstacles and he took whatever it was life had to throw at him. Johnny enjoyed many other hobbies in life, such as riding horses and riding his side by side. His presence in the lives of all of those who knew and loved him will be greatly missed.

A one hour visitation for Johnny will be held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at Bee Branch Baptist Church in Bee Branch, Arkansas, with services to follow at 12:00PM.

Interment will be at Bee Branch Cemetery.

All arrangements handled by Roller McNutt Funeral Home of Conway, Arkansas.

To the family:
I’m so sorry for your loss. May God’s comfort be with you each as you adjust to the vacancy and empty place in your lives.
Not now but in the coming years
We’ll read the meaning of our tears
And then, sometime we’ll understand.
With love and prayers,
Sylvia
