Mickey Gail McSpadden

March 21, 1945 - May 17, 2022

Mickey Gail McSpadden, 77, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. He was born in Graham, Texas to Gail and Ovell McSpadden on March 21, 1945. He grew up in Bethesda, Arkansas with his parents and his brother, Jim.

He graduated from ASU and while attending school there, met the love of his life, Barbara, who he was married to for 56 years. A career accountant, Mickey worked for several central Arkansas businesses. Mickey enjoyed the outdoors, including the farm, fishing and hunting. Saturday mornings he could be found at garage sales with whoever would join the adventure or checking out pawn shops with his brother, Jim. He and Barbara enjoyed spending time with family, especially their 12 grandkids. Mickey was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, where he also served as a deacon at multiple congregations over the years.

Mickey is preceded in death by parents, Gail and Ovell McSpadden and his wife, Barbara.

He will be missed by his children, Kim Webb (Harry), Devin McSpadden (Kelly) and Glen McSpadden (Lisa); grandchildren, Chris Emmons, Ashley Emmons, Max Webb, Tori Webb; Nathan McSpadden, Briana McSpadden, Bridget McSpadden, Natalie McSpadden; Josiah McSpadden, Caleb McSpadden, Jacob McSpadden and Jeremiah McSpadden; brother, Jim McSpadden (Merry Anne), as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 24th from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 7:00 pm at the Harrison Street Church of Christ in Batesville, Arkansas.

Donations can be made, in lieu of flowers, to Children's Home, Inc., 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR 72450.

Knowledgeable of what Heavenly Savior gave him early in life,and lived what others could only wish. Bethesda people very proud to have had such an example.God Bless.

Mickey was older than I In 1_~8 . Nobody to look up to,we watched Mickey.He couldn’t get trouble if he wanted.The one main thing was,no one ever heard him Judging someone else,,,

Mickey and Barbara were, like their parents, “salt of the earth” folks. I grew up with Barbara and then worked in a professional capacity with Mickey over the years….just such good solid Christian folks. My condolences to the family.
