Kay Clark

of Little Rock, AR

March 11, 1940 - May 13, 2022

Kay Clark, 82, of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away unexpectedly with her family at her side on May 13, 2022.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, David Walt Clark and Nedra Louise Tucker Clark. She is survived by two sons, Robert Walt Farquhar, Jon Scott Farquhar and his wife Amanda Willmuth Farquhar; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Frances Farquhar and Jon "Will" Willmuth Farquhar and one great-grandson, Silas Scott Farquhar.

Kay was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, at the old St. Vincent hospital on March 11, 1940. She was a graduate of the historic Little Rock Central High School during the "Central High School Crisis" in 1957. She married Lloyd Macgregor Farquhar and they had two sons. She studied at the University of Little Rock, where she studied social work and made a career. She was also employed at her father's boat parts store, Clark Distributing Marine Parts.

Kay was a world traveler, visiting a variety of places. She served as a cook on a Mt. Everest climb at a base camp at 12,000 feet elevation. She traveled to New Zealand and hiked the famous "Milford Track" trail, which was the inspiration behind her successful restaurant and catering business, Milford Track, for over 30 years. Her passion and love for feeding people was a priority, which earned Milford Track many awards over the years. She was an avid, self-taught photographer, displaying her pieces at her restaurant, Milford Track. She was a pilot of a 1962 Piper Cherokee. She loved her family, friends and all animals. Her garden was her sanctuary where she spent many years developing. Kay's family and friends alike would agree that Kay was one of the most positive people on this Earth.

Words Kay chose to live by:
Think big, talk little, love much, laugh easily, work hard, give freely, pay cash and be kind. That's enough!

A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.

Kay and I were neighbors for years. I lived on Fillmore. Early on, we realized we had a few friends in common. Her house was on my walking route and we always had a short visit when my dog and I came by. Seeing her always brightened my day. She was so kind and positive. I just learned of her death this week. I will miss seeing her. Sending comfort to family. Take care, Marian

My prayers for the family. I will miss Momma Taz all the days of my life.

Loved letting her feed me for years at Milford Track. She was such a positive person with a smile always on her face. Her calm spirit radiated from her.
