To the family members of Lessie:
She gave her all in everything she did, from singing in church, cooking, teaching kindergarten Sunday school, entertaining friends at her home, and participating in other church activities. Her passion and love was contagious. I remember when they first started attending Calvary church, my husband asked me if I knew Lessie. I had not met her yet. He said, “You will like her. She is genuine, friendly, and excited about the Lord”. I found this to be true and so much more. She crocheted many dishcloths for me and others. She even crocheted a sweater set for my newborn granddaughter. She stepped in to help prepare meals for church, worked with missions, and the activity that thrilled her the most was teaching Kindergarten Sunday school. She loved those children with abandon. One of her students was my grandson who thought the world of Mrs. Lessie because Lessie really cared.
We have eaten meals at their house many times. She was in her element entertaining for parties and friends.
My prayers are with you on the loss of your dear mother/grandmother.
My Granny will be truly missed by all who knew her. She was a one of a kind. I know Pop met her at the gates of Heaven just as they planned. I just pray that moments like these bring us all closer to the Lord. We never know when our time will be. She was truly blessed to have such a long life. Please Heavenly Father cover each and every one of us with the blood of Jesus, forgive us of our sins and comfort us in this time of grief. Feel us with your peace that surpasses all understanding. Bring our family closer together. Amen.
Steve and family, My thoughts and prayers are with you all in the coming days and weeks. So sorry to hear of the passing of your mother.
Lessie, my friend, I will always be grateful to you teaching Haley and Preston about Jesus. Love and prayers for the family.
