Lewis "Don" Donald LynnI am a Veteran.

November 4, 1936 - March 10, 2022

Lewis Donald Lynn, 85, passed away on March 10, 2022 in Searcy, Arkansas. Don was a light in this world, and he has left a hole in the hearts of many.

Don was born on November 4, 1936 to Delmar and Lucille Lynn. Don was the eldest of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn's children, which also include Kenneth and Mabel Lynn, Billy and Paula Lynn, and Arvella Franks. Don was very close to his sisters and brothers in law, as well as his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was caregiver to Jayden.

On May 8, 1960, Don married the absolute love of his life, Glenda. If you know Don and Glenda, you know that for over sixty years, they have been inseparable. He adored her and would stop at nothing to make sure she was cared for and catered to.

Don and Glenda were blessed with two sons, Curtis and Keith, and their daughter in law Juanitta, all of Searcy. Don's family was everything to him. His grandchildren, Samantha, Mitch, Tim, Stephanie, Larissa, Cody, Lisa, and John were blessed to have a "Paps" like him. His great grandchildren, and newest slices of Heaven include Hayden and Lucas.

Don graduated from Beebe High school in 1954 and from Arkansas State University in 1958. He was in the Navy, first on the USS Cascade and then on the USS Yellowstone. He worked as an accountant for various companies for forty years.

Alongside Glenda, Don was a member of Searcy First Assembly of God and was abundantly blessed over the years by his church family.

The Lynn family would like to thank the many who have provided love, support, and comfort during the loss of our treasured "Paps." Words do not adequately express our sincere gratitude.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, March 14, 2022 with visitation at 10:00AM and the Funeral to follow. All services will be at Roller-Daniel Chapel. Interment at White County Memorial Gardens.

Don was my parents neighbor. Don was the personification of what a good neighbor should be. He always looked out for my mother after my father passed away and was our friend. We love you Glenda and are truly sorry for your loss and will miss him dearly.

Our hearts and prayers are with each one of you. We pray that God will comfort you and warm you with his abundance of love.
It sounds like Don was a true Christian, which means he was a blessed man who shared his love thru his family.
We will be holding you close in our prayers as you say “see you soon” to your dad and your “Paps.”
We love you.

Sorry to hear about Don’s passing. He was my bus driver when he was in college (I think) and I was in elementary school in Beebe.
