Ricky Eugene Cox

of Harrison, AR

April 28, 1958 - March 7, 2022

Ricky Eugene Cox, age 63, of Harrison, passed away from this life on Monday, March 7th, 2022, at Hillcrest Home in Harrison. He was born in Harrison on April 28, 1958, to Eugene and Juanita (Morris) Cox.

At a very young age, Ricky suffered an accident that resulted in a traumatic brain injury. This led his mother to become very involved in Boone County Special Services. Ricky spent many years at BCSS and at the BCSS Adult Work Center.

Ricky loved being on the farm helping his dad haul hay, work cattle, and "shade tree" mechanizing. He loved to tease and could spin quite the tall tale. Ricky was determined, stubborn, and strong-willed. All qualities of his character that got him through the trials and challenges he faced in life. He loved to reminisce with his sister about their parents and he missed them every day. It is a blessing for him to be with them once again.

Ricky was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his sister, Marti (Debbie) Cox; his nieces, McKenzie and Maggie Cox, both of Harrison; as well as a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation was Saturday, March 12, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home.

Funeral service was Sunday, March 13, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home with Allen Crum officiating.

Burial was at Summers Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Steve Cantrell, Jeff Cantrell, Richard Webb, Rick Thomason, Jesse Inman, and Jim Kelly.

Honorary pallbearers were the staff from Hillcrest Home, BCSS Adult Work Center, and Missy McBee.

Because Ricky loved animals so much, Memorials can be made to Ozark Humane Society.
