Betty Juanita Caton

of Little Rock, AR

September 17, 1931 - February 9, 2022

Betty Juanita Caton, 90, a resident of Little Rock, went to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning, February 9, 2022. Betty was born in Lonoke, Arkansas on September 17, 1931. She is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas H. Caton; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Willie Roulston; daughter, Susan Torres; granddaughter, Kelly Caton; sister, Elsie Caton and son-n-law, John Derden.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Debra J. Derden and Cindy Caton of Little Rock; sons, Thomas Wayne Caton (Carolyn) of Choctaw, OK and James W. Caton of Little Rock. In addition, she was a proud Grandmother of six, Roger Coburn (Julie), Ronnie Torres (Christy), Kim Torres Nordin (Jason), Kristen Derden Nolley (Aaron), Michael W. Caton (Jamie), and Thomas W. Caton, Jr. (Cindy); 16 great-grandchildren, Jonathan Coburn (Caitlin), Sam Coburn, Ryan Torres, Taylor Torres, Ava Torres, Reese Torres, Andrew Boswell, Ally Caton, Austin Caton, Titus Caton, Scarlet Bordelon, Chloe Bordelon, Elliott Nolley, Braden Nordin, Abrianna Nordin, and Mila Nordin; 3 sisters, Carolyn Welcher, Frances Henry, Shirley Longoria and her 2 brothers, George Roulston and Leon Roulston along with a great host of dear family and friends.

Betty's faith in Jesus was the most important part of her life. She served her Lord faithfully from the age of 13 years old and always thought the best of others. She was a longtime member of Wellington Village Assembly of God and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Betty retired from the State of Arkansas after many years of service. She was a Missionettes Leader at her Church for many years, an avid reader, particularly her Bible, and enjoyed crocheting for her family and making blankets for the children at Arkansas Children's Hospital. In addition, she enjoyed doing all kinds of crafts, was a wonderful cook, loved cookbooks and making desserts. Betty had an old hymn book which she would sing out of and loved old hymns. Lastly, she loved and adored her late miniature Yorkie, Maggie.

A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 9:30am on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR (501) 224-8300. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Pallbearers are grandsons, Roger Coburn, Jr., Ronnie Torres, Michael Caton & Thomas Caton; great-grandsons, Jonathan Coburn and Samuel Coburn.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home.

The family wishes to thank Wanda Poole, her roommate at Good Shepherd Nursing Home, who always looked after our mama with such care and kindness and also Kindred Hospice, particularly Ashley and Latia.

Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Pulaski County Humane Society.

I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die. John 11:25-26

Betty (Bet-Bet) was our son, Aaron's, first babysitter. That was almost 50 years ago. We still have very fond memories of Betty & Tom. They were very nice and loving people. Their grandson, Roger, was Aaron's bud at the time. We pray for the family's peace and comfort as they mourn the loss of this lovely lady.

I had the joy of attending Southwest Assembly of God with Ms.Betty's daughter's Cindy, Debra, Susan and their family for many years. A few years ago my husband and I started attending Wellington Assembly and I met Ms. Betty for the first time. As time went by I had the privilege to not only grow to know and love her for her precious spirit but appreciate and understand how her girls became such wonderful women of God. Her Wellington family will miss her and the cards she sent to every person each time they missed church to let them know someone acknowledged their absence.
