Katherine Louise Nye, age 88, of Russellville, Arkansas passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at her home. She was born July 2, 1933 in Brinkley, Arkansas to the late Ruth Lane Jacobs and James Elmer Hartsell. Mrs. Nye was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed going to the beauty salon.
She is survived by her two daughters, Pat Holland (Parmer) and Sue Nichols (Raymond); five grandchildren, Chris Gulledge, Brian Brister, Sherman Brister, Trell Nichols, and April Farkas; 14 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; sister, Mary Ligon; special grandson, Dylan Martin; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She is preceded in death by husband, Buddy Ardell; parents, Ruth and James Hartsell; granddaughter, Kimberly Lindsey; great- great- great granddaughter, Lexie; four sisters and two brothers.
A graveside service for Mrs. Katherine Louise Nye will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at Sunset Memorial Park in West Helena, Arkansas. Visitation will be held an hour before the service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home. Brother Adam Rowland will officiate.
