Martha Harriet McKnight Huey passed away peacefully at her home January 27, 2022, a week after a joyous celebration of her 90th birthday with family and friends. Martha was born January 19, 1932 in Helena, Arkansas to French McKnight, Sr. and Mary Mays McKnight. Martha graduated from Helena High School and attended Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, VA. before transferring to University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, AR. She married the love of her life, Thomas C. (Clint) Huey on October 10, 1953. After residing for a short period in Little Rock, AR, Martha and Clint moved to Warren, AR where they lived for forty-seven years raising their six children there.
While living in Warren, Martha was an involved member of First United Methodist Church teaching the Childrens Choir and Sunday School, becoming Director of the Bible School and working with the Church's youth groups including summer trips to Camp Tanako. She was a Junior Auxiliary member, active bridge player and involved in many of Warren's civic affairs and celebrations. She enjoyed decades of happy times with her sweetheart Clint at the Godfrey Place camp and Hot Springs thoroughbred races. Martha and Clint retired to Hot Springs, AR and after his passing, Martha moved to Little Rock where she resided at Parkway Village for over 13 years. In Little Rock, Martha was a member of Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church and Women's Circle member and continued her bridge playing. Martha was a loving Wife, adoring Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother and friend to everyone she met.
Martha was predeceased by her parents and sister, Mary McKnight. Martha is survived by her six children, Mary Catherine Armstrong (Rusty), Little Rock, Martha Ann Sloan (Steven), Vero Beach, FL, Thom Huey (Mary), Little Rock, Frances Allen (Wes), McDonough, GA, Liz Brazeel (Danny), Little Rock, AR, and Bill Huey (Angela), Ft. Worth, TX, her brother French McKnight, Jr. (Claire) and family, Nashville, TN and brother-in-law Lynn Bennett (Jane), Hot Springs, AR. Martha is also survived by 10 grandchildren, Carrie Ann Savage (Jeff), Warren, AR, Martha Leah Mann (Nick), Warren, AR, Tommy McBee (Thai), Conway, AR, Amanda Huey, Atlanta, GA, Alex Huey, Austin, TX, Audrey Vigil (Jerard), Santa Fe, NM, Lane Brazeel, Gentry, AR, Jenna Sherrod (Brandon), McDonough, GA, Wesley Allen (Adria), Omaha, NE and Hayden Huey (Grace), Richardson, TX. Martha is also survived by 10 great grandchildren, Mason, Blaine and Evan Savage, Warren, AR, Emma, Marlee and Eliza Mann, Warren, AR, Ava and Elaine Sherrod, McDonough, GA, Presley McBee, Conway, AR and Anna Grace Huey, Richardson, TX.
A Memorial Service will be held at Pulaski Heights United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 5, 2022, 11:00am. A private family Burial will be at the family's cemetery plot in Helena AR. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider memorial gifts to Pulaski

What a wonderful person who had a great influence on many - I being one growing up with Martha’s fine family at Warren and also in Church and chior at the Methodist Church.
