Ruth Blevins Massey, 99, of Batesville, Arkansas, formerly of Locust Grove, died January 16, 2022. Born January 20, 1922 in Locust Grove, Arkansas, she was the daughter of William Ezra and Irene Jones Blevins.
She was a homemaker and loved her flowers. She was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra (Steve) Hampton of Southside, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Samantha (Dave) Lee of Sullivan, Missouri, Jennifer (Tracy) Sweet of Mount Olive, and Jacob (Kambria) Hampton of Muldrow, Oklahoma; five great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Grover Massey; two infant daughters, Glendine Massey and Peggy Joyce Massey; one daughter, Cindy Massey; three brothers, Adrian Blevins, Dwight Blevins, and Calvin Blevins; and two sisters, Julia Duchanoy, and Fern Harrah.
The family would like to thank the employees at Wood Lawn Nursing Home and Caring Hands Hospice for their wonderful care.
There will be a graveside service at Locust Grove Cemetery Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 2:00pm under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home with Kenny Gerhardt officiating.
There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Locust Grove Cemetery, c/o Kenny Gerhardt, 280 N. 8th St., Batesville, Arkansas, 72501.
We are so sorry to hear about your mother. Have many good memories of her; she could always make me laugh. Always remember she loved you and your family very much. May God bless.

Debra, I am so sorry to learn about your Mom. I remember her so well back many years ago taking us trick or treating. Your family was so good to my grandmother and I. I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Massey’s passing. Years ago, I was Mr. Grover’s home health nurse and also was Mr Adrian Blevins’ nurse. I will keep your family in my prayers.
