I served in the Marine.
Ronald Steven WebbI am a Veteran.

of Mayflower, AR

December 16, 1970 - January 12, 2022

Ronald Steven Webb, 51, of Mayflower, Arkansas, after a long battle fought like a true Marine, went to be with the Lord, January 12, 2022. He was born December 16, 1970, in Conway, Arkansas, to Thomas Don Webb and Susan Harrell Hunthrop. Ron was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Webb, mother-in-law, Violetta Arnold, sister-in-law, Maryetta Arnold Lowder, his grandparents, Donald and Floy Mae Webb and Royce and Ann Harrell, and his step brother Kristopher Bunten.

Ron would have you believe he was a rough and gruff Marine, sometimes a grumpy old man, but he was really a softy at heart. His generosity was felt by many in the community, not only friends and family, but strangers alike. He was hard working and loved to laugh, tell jokes and prank people and if he ever pranked you, consider yourself one of the lucky ones. His love for his family and friends was never half-a****. He loved fully and completely and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and a community that loved him back.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Vernadean, daughters Sirena Moix and Thai (Tommy) McBee, two granddaughters Ava Moix and Presley McBee, his mom and step-dad, Susan and Bill Hunthrop, brother Russ (Kim) Webb, nieces Bailey and Autumn Webb, brother-in-law Raymond (Sherry) Arnold, niece Salina Arnold and nephew James (Kaylea) Arnold, His step-mother Sandi Webb, step-nephew Will Bunten, great-niece and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins too numerous to list.

I would run into Ron A lot in Mayflower. We would talk because I had told him about my dad being small in stature, yet huge in accomplishments, like him. Ron nor my dad seemed short. Ron was a US hero, and I always thanked him for his service. He always made me smile, and I will miss that, especially at this time, with my isolation from Covid. I hold those he loved in my prayers, and I hope he can meet my dad in Heaven, so they can swap war stories.

Our deepest sympathy for the loss of this very kind man. I recall one winter he was doing some work at the HDC when a huge snowfall fell. Ron was so kind to offer to drive me home so I wouldn't be stranded. Such a kind offer, from such a wonderful person. Prayers for Ron's family and friends.

Susie,
My heart aches for your loss. It’s unnatural for a child to go before us, we are supposed to go first. I remember when you brought the twins to our Senior English class to show Mrs. Strain. I was so surprised to see two identical little babies wrapped in the same blanket. I know 51 years will never be enough but, I’m also sure you are thankful for every year. Sending you comfort and peace.

Story #1 Ron the instigator. Randy and I had only been married a couple of years, Randy and Ron were riding around together. Ron asked Randy what we were going to eat for supper, Randy said I don’t know I’ll have to call Jo. Ron said “I’ll call her and he did. When I picked up the phone Ron said “Happy Anniversary!!” Randy had totally forgot about it!! Even though I was mad because Randy forgot, I’ll never forget Ron didn’t and threw Randy under the bus!!
Words cannot express how sorry I am for your loss. Ron was one of a kind and a great friend and classmate to me!! Sending love and prayers to all the family.

You were like a brother I didn't have. I will miss you along with so many others. You fought a good fight and now you're with Jesus and your family up there. Fly high my friend Ron.
