Mildred Delois Lambright

of Greenbrier, AR

October 25, 1932 - January 4, 2022

Mildred Delois Graham Lambright of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away on January 4, 2022, at the age of 89.

She was born October 25, 1932, to Willie and Ellen Graham in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

She was called many things throughout her life; Mildred, Millie, Momma, and Mimi. Her grands and great-grands may be partial, but we feel Mimi to be the best one.

Mimi grew up in North Little Rock and Vilonia, Arkansas through her adolescent years. After high school, she continued her education at Jacksonville Baptist College in Jacksonville, Texas. She met a young man by the name of Jim Lambright shortly after arriving there. One evening he phoned her while she was living in the girl's dorm. He asked her out for a date which consisted of attending a church service on a Wednesday night. They continued their church service dates until they were wed on August 14, 1954.

A few years later, they became parents to Sharon Lynn and then Gary Allen. As the kids grew older they became involved in hobbies and activities. Mimi drove Sharon to many piano lessons and Gary to many band practices throughout the years. She made many of their clothes and was quick to keep them in line. Gary can especially attest to this.

She was gifted in many areas and was the epitome of ''homemaker''. Her home was always immaculate and ''dinner'', which was really ''lunch'', was extensively thought out each day. She was known for her amazing pies, homemade chicken and dumplings, dressing, and her momma's ham and noodles. If her grandson Wesley was planning to be there, a breakfast pizza was always a staple as well. Everyone that knew her, knew that if you showed up at their house around 12:00 you would be asked to stay for lunch. Her number one visitors who would randomly show up at this time were the preachers in her life.

Some of her favorite holidays included; corn day, salsa day, purple hull pea day, squash relish day, and peach day. She loved to pick strawberries because of the golden rule ''eat all that you want out in the patch''. Good food and homegrown food were her hobby. Nothing excited her more than a big fresh tomato out of their garden.

Mimi and Papa were always very faithful and involved in their local church. At one time, she was actually the pianist at church while Papa was the song leader. She was part of women's ministry groups and always a part of the youth ministries her children were involved in.

It has been 5 short months since we said goodbye to our Papa. We are filled with joy when we think of the sights and sounds Mimi and Papa are enjoying together today. We are thankful for the peace that image gives us now. God greatly blessed Mimi and Papa, and we are grateful for the blessings he has and will extend to our family.

Mimi was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim Lambright; parents, Willie and Ellen Graham; brothers, W.A. Graham, Everett Graham, and David Graham and one great-granddaughter, Tinlee Elise Dreher.

She is survived by two children; daughter, Sharon Duncan and her husband Lanny; son, Gary Lambright and his wife Sandy; four grandchildren, Stacy (Cody) Dreher, Katie (Jon) Patrom, Wesley (Lindsay) Lambright, and Stephanie Duncan; four great-grandchildren, Colton and Cami Dreher, Lyla Lambright and Duncan Patrom; one sister-in-law, Cecelia Graham.
Services will be Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 11:00am, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Greenbrier, Arkansas, under the officiating of Brother Gary Lambright, Brother Ed Stephenson, Brother Tony Crocker, and Brother Gaylon King. Visitation will be at 10:00am, before the service. Interment will be immediately following services at Beryl Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be; Keith Duncan, Roland Adams, Lanny Duncan, Wesley Lambright, Jon Patrom, and Cody Dreher.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas.

Our earthly loss is heaven's gain. We do miss visiting with both Jim and Mildred in church on Sunday morning. If there ever was an example of how Christian couples should be, it was Jim & Mildred Lambright. We are looking forward to visiting with them both again someday. May God comfort the family and friends of them both.
