Glenda Foster, age 71, of Harrison, died on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Harrison. She was born on March 30, 1950, in Harrison, the daughter of Andy and Retha (Martin) Holliman. Glenda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Roy Lee Foster; her brother, Steve Branscum; and her sisters, Eilene Nordrum and Bertie Miller.

Glenda worked at Tysons, several nursing homes, and in food services. She was known for the love she had for her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Glenda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Amanda Foster; her daughters and son-in-law, Shelly and Tony Hudson and Teresa Foster; her sisters, Louise Taylor and Maudene Manning; and her brother, Pierce Holliman.

She is also survived by her eight grandchildren and their spouses, Steven and Morgan Hudson, AJ and Kayla Hudson, Tabitha and Ryan Hartman, Charity and Matt Taylor, Josh and Anna Hudson, Garrett Foster, Lylajean Foster, and Walker Foster; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and close friends.


The funeral service was Friday, January 7, 2022, at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, with Bro. Arvin Adams officiating. Visitation was an hour prior to the funeral service.

Burial was in the Milam Cemetery on Silver Valley Road, Harrison, Arkansas.

Pallbearers were Steven Hudson, Josh Hudson, Matthew Taylor, Gary Foster, Tony Hudson, and AJ Hudson.

Honorary pallbearers were the Crossroads Medical Clinic, Glenda's nieces and nephews, and her friends and other family.

Praying peace and comfort for the coming days. When the sadness comes may you feel the arms of Christ wrapped around you.

Glenda was the person that taught me the correct way to place biscuits covered in gravy on a platter and the reason why it was done that way. I can not help but check when I get biscuits and gravy to see if is done correctly. I know this is silly, but it always brings a smile to my face. I like to think Glenda would be pleased to know she taught me well.
