Dale Whiting, 77, passed away December 27, 2021, in Mountain Home. Dale was born on July 2, 1944, in Raymond, Kansas, to William ''Bill'' Henry Whiting and Geneva Maxine (Nesse) Whiting.
Dale married Arlene Jordan on May 27, 1962, in Lyons, Kansas. He had a plumbing business in Lyons before moving to Mountain Home in 1986. He worked as a master plumber for Dewey & Sons Plumbing where he retired after 24 years in 2010. They are members of Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Mountain Home. Dale and Arlene began raising cougars in Lyons, Kansas, which they brought with them when they moved to the Twin Lakes area, which they were widely known for.
Dale is survived by his wife, Arlene, son: Derick Whiting; daughter: Dedra (Chad) Moore of Calhoun, Georgia; grandchildren: Bryant Moore and Adreonna Moore of Calhoun, Georgia, and Katie Marler of Flippin, Arkansas; ten great grandchildren; and sister: Virginia Hawkinson of Hutchinson, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father, William, mother, Geneva, and sister, Juanita Myer.
A visitation will be Thursday, December 30, from 4:00-8:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m., at Harmony Free Will Baptist Church in Mountain Home, with Pastor Darren Morris officiating, with interment to follow in Baxter Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Roller Funeral Home.
You are in our thoughts and prayers. He will be greatly missed. It is a comfort to know he is with our Lord, walking streets of gold and praising him. We pray for peace for you Arlene and the family. In Jesus name Amen.

Dave and I were devastated to hear about Dale's passing. We are hear for you when you need us. Unfortunately we will be arriving back in town after Dale's service on the 31st. We will see you next week.
