Jeanne M Easley

of Little Rock, AR

August 29, 1944 - December 19, 2021

Jeanne McBride Easley, age 77, passed away December 19, 2021, at her home in Little Rock, Arkansas, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 29, 1944, in Pascagoula, MS, to Oliver & Mary Louise McBride. She was the 7th of 12 children and always took pride in being from such a large family. She was fearless, generous to a fault, and always spoke the truth. She was a world-class traveler, riding the elephants in Thailand and traveling to Tibet, Singapore, Malaysia, and Scotland to name a few. She loved her family fiercely and lived her life with no regrets. In 2016, she was diagnosed with cancer for the second time and doctors told her she had 6 months to live. She had other plans and had never particularly bothered with people deciding her ''story''. She was strong up until the bitter end and is finally resting and at peace with the Lord.

She is survived by her dedicated and loving husband of 42 years, Danny Lee Easley, who showed her the world and enabled her to live her dream of travel and adventure.
She leaves behind a daughter, Elizabeth Jeanne Mokry, (Gary) of Parker, TX, a son, William Marc Rios (Tracy) of Little Rock, AR, grandson, Trey Pipkins of Jonesboro and granddaughter, Gabrielle Elizabeth Arora (Vivek) of Dallas, TX.

She is also survived by her 3 great-grandsons, Jackson, Oliver and John Oscar Pipkins, all of Jonesboro, AR and 1 infant great-granddaughter, Zoe Gabrielle Arora. She adored all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and in return they adored their ''Mammy''.

She is preceded in death by 7 of her sisters, and 1 brother. She is survived by her sister, Millie McBride Mangrum (Kenneth) of Ethel, MS, Scarlett Goss, of Longview, TX and Ben McBride (Gail) of Oakland, TN and numerous nieces and nephews that she all loved dearly.

Rosary will be held at 9:30 am, Wednesday, December 22, 2021, at the Cathedral of St. Andrew, 617 South Louisiana Street, with a Funeral Mass starting at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion, Arkansas at 2:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in her memory to MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX, (gifts.mdanderson.org)

Uncle Danny, Marc, and Liz I am so sorry for our loss. The fond memories of Aunt Jean that I remember was Aunt Jean being so happy at all our family gatherings. She was always fun to be around and always joking. She would entertain us when we were small with so much energy. I miss them days and I will never forget them. I know she is in a place that will closely resemble them days. That's what I believe Heaven looks like. In time all of us will have a McBride reunion in heaven!
