of Prim, AR
April 21, 1955 - December 14, 2021
Mona Elizabeth Daniel Harper came into this world on April 21, 1955. She was the second of four children born to Paul and Patty Daniel. Mona lived her life to the fullest and loved her family and friends with all her heart. She was of the Christian faith and attended church at Maranatha Assembly of God. She was also a hard worker and spent many years working as a USDA inspector. During that time, she made lots of memories and several lasting friendships, but a few years ago, she was able to retire.
Since then, she has spent most of her days focusing on family, friends and the activities she truly enjoyed. She loved being with her family, whether it was cheering her grandkids on at ballgames or attending any other activities they were involved in, spending time fishing, riding, camping, or playing baggo at her favorite spot at the river, or attending family gatherings where she enjoyed playing Rook or board games, especially when she was defeating other super competitive players. Anytime she spoke of her grandchildren, her face lit up and her voice took on a loving, proud tone. They were absolutely the lights of her life. When she wasn't with her family, you could likely find her with some of her best friends, camping or making trips to town, eating Chinese food, or just enjoying each other's company and catching up on current events, expressing her views of the government and their failures, which was a trait she came by honestly. (If you knew Paul Daniel, you understand.) She was always there for her friends, no matter what. They knew they could count on her. She loved collecting dragonflies, watching The Golden Girls, chapstick, flea markets and yard sales.
On December 14, 2021, Mona peacefully left this life, surrounded by her kids and grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul Oliver Daniel and Patty Ruth Blaylock Daniel; one sister, Rebecca Diane Gunn; and the love of her life, Gene Harper.
She was an amazing mom to five children: her oldest son, Brandon Sutterfield, and wife, Kami, of Prim; twin daughters, Chasey Stevens, Carrie Callahan and husband, Michael, all of Fox; another son, Caden Harper, and partner, Ashley Knighten, also of Fox; and her baby girl, Caylee Altom, and husband Andrew, of Prim; 15 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two siblings: a brother, Doug Daniel and wife, Kadra, of Fox; and sister, Cindy Ellis of Parma; several nieces and nephews, some friends whom she adopted as family, and a host of other relatives and good friends. She was absolutely the heart of her family, and she will be deeply missed.

I'm so sorry to learn of Mona's passing. She was a great person and so upbeat all the time, every time we would get to go to Pat and Paul's home. Her mother was a awesome friend to my mom, Georgia Furlow. May God's grace and peace be with the family.
I am so very sorry for your loss.
I was very sorry to hear of Mona's passing, she was a good inspector and well respected.
A tribute to one of my best friends that I've come to know and love. I had the pleasure of her friendship and for that I'm forever grateful. A friend like Mona is very rare and one that can never be replaced. She was so kind, so willing to help in any circumstance and just so much fun to be around. We learned early on we had so much in common and any differences we had never affected our relationship. I will miss our talks almost daily and our weekly trips that ALWAYS included eating Chinese food. My heart is shattered and I feel such an emptiness right now but I'm sure it can't compare to what her kids and grandkids have lost. She truly lived to be involved in all of their lives. I was just someone to do something with when her family didn't have something going on and that was fine with me because I knew what made her the most happy. When I die, I hope people smile and say, "she is with Mona now and they are happy."
Mona will be greatly missed by many. I had the honor of working with her in Clinton, Arkansas. I will cherish the friendship we had. RIP Mona.
God bless you Ms. Mona, you will be deeply missed.
Mona was one of my best friends in High School. She, our friend Deb, and I all played basketball together. I loved spending the night at her house, listening to the Beatles, or having adventures dreaming about moving to California. I played the piano at her wedding right out of high school. She was a sweet and kind friend and I am sad.
My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
So sorry for your loss. She was a very nice and sweet lady. I know she will be missed very much

So sorry for your loss.
I first met Mona as an inspector at Butterball and later learned we had met before through her granddaughter, Paige. Mona was a up-beat person who was honest and just, and who held God and family first, and in that order. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. Our condolences to the family.
I am among the lucky ones that got to know Mona. She didn’t have to love me, a random friend of her niece showing up at family gatherings… but she immediately did, and I loved her too. You didn’t have to spend much time around Mona to be warmed up by that love, and she gave it away freely and with great joy. Every single time I saw Mona she had something to offer and a hug - juice for the kids, treats over there in that box, help yourself. She thought of others, never herself. She even let me get her beat at Rook once just to let me learn how to play. However, the last time I saw her, she beat my tail at baggo. Badly!
She was a joy and a bright spot in the world. Love and hugs to all of the family. I know we will miss her so so much.
Big smile, huge heart, and strong woman - Mona Harper. The first time I met her was on a camping trip. I knew instantly that she was one of a kind and a real "pioneer woman." She loved her friends and family with all her heart and would go out of her way to help others. We will truly miss her. Praying for her family....they were everything to her.
Mona will be dearly missed she was one of the people I met when I moved to fox and I worked with over the years she was a good friend and I know how much she loved her family my condolences and my prayers go out to her family RIP mona
My dearest Mona, you were always the most fun to be around always talking about you family and taking our somewhat "ill" advice, giving advice and laughing with us. So many memories at the chicken plant helping you and George study on the line, you taught me a lot and I will forever be grateful. I will never forget your smile and laughter. May God bring comfort to your family. Rest in Peace Sweet Lady
Love you
Lisa (Kirkendoll) Mahler
