Larry and I became friends through our mutual good buddy, the late Roger Smith. We talked on the phone a lot and I always was firmly convinced that Larry was one of the finest of men. Larry was cut from the old cloth that stamped him to be a straight shooter, do the right thing, help your family and others, be a loyal friend, and he was as good as his word as he followed his Savior and went about doing good. He loved and was devoted to his growing family and was so proud to be their father and grandfather. He cast a giant shadow and left a defining role model for us all to follow. I am a better man for having known him. May he rest in eternal peace in God’s everlasting arms.

Larry was and is a very good and dear friend of mine. We talked weekly. He had just asked me to take him to some of his appointments after Josh has his surgery. I told him to call me anytime day or night. He talked to me about a lot of stuff and told me lots of stories. Maybe after Josh and Chris can wrap their heads around all that has happened we can talk and I can share some of what we talked about. I'll truly miss Larry. He was a good man, good friend, good father and granddad. Rest easy my friend and enjoy retirement with the Good Lord. See you again.

Dear Family and Friends:

Larry will be so missed. He was so fun to harass when he put the lights on the courthouse each year. I would run out on the porch and try to shoot him with my nerf gun. He was such a quick thinker, he had no gun, but he did have wasp spray. He won that battle!

Love and prayers to you all. Cherish those memories.
